That sounds reasonable to me. I'll probably want to give it KS3.1 anyway, and I have a stack of 4MB SIMMs lying around the place. :)
I'll PM you my details tomorrow.
@davideo:  Must've missed that bit. Knew I'm supposed to declare interest in the thread, didn't realise that offers had to be via PM. I guess I should go and :RTFM: again. :)

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Do you have a front panel? I'd be after it, if it's not yellowed.

Sorry, I'm keeping that bit: it's also very yellowed.
So that's pretty much everything gone - will sort out postage quotes tomorrow, and also send photos so people exactly what they're getting.
PSU - Davideo
Motherboard - andylandy
3640 - protek
Daughtercard - jambalah
Anyone for the metal bits of the case? Top? Bottom?

Hiya Marcin. :D
I have a bit of a yellowed one that has had another LED cut into it. Not brilliant, but it's yours for Postage costs if you want it. ;)
PM me if you want to discuss & PM me anyways for an Email update. I think we should after all this time.
JD & Coke for ya,

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Hi Chiark!
I confirm my interest to daughter board. That's the last piece to make my Amiga 4000 work :woot:
Would you please check postage costs, sir? :D
Of course, if you send me your coordinates, I will provide the amount via Pay Pal. If that is ok for you.
Thanks!
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Sure Jambalah, it's yours - I'll check postage today.
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Jambalah, the card and packaging is around 600g, so postage via international signed for will be £8
Protek, the 3640 and packaging is around 300g, so postage via international signed for will be £6.50
Davideo, PSU + packaging is about 1.8KG, so is £7.30 via recorded 1st class.
Andylandy, I'm struggling to find a box but it should be less than 1.6KG, so is about £7 recorded.
Wlll PM people with details :)

Oh, that's true... Damn, when's the strike planned?
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Just been to the post office - it starts Thursday for 3 days.
Good news! I made the cutoff for today, so there's packages going to Lincolnshire, Finland and Italy :)

Knowing the posties round here - I think mine will arrive last :****ed:

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
I've sent you the cash for the motherboard. :)
I'll survive if it takes a few days longer to arrive. I've never trusted the postal service to be reliable, even without strikes. :(
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Cheers Andy, will be on its way tomorrow. Need to find a box that isn't huge to pack it in now... Hmm!

Thanks for the heads up! :D
Interesting to see, which will arrive first, the turbo or the A4000, which is coming from Germany and was sent yesterday.

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
well, the UK has got a postal strike starting on Thursday for 3 days, so I am really hoping that the packages make it out of the country before the strike kicks in.
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Oh well... I waited more than a year to find and buy the right pieces to assemble Amiga 4000.
I guess I can wait a little more... :woot:

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available

Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
Thanks Chiark!
You are right.... Here postmen are not so... smart..
But in one thing you are wrong... not a postman but a nasty young postgirl
But she has a big defect...... yesterday delivered a pack from Germany... ring the doorbell... run to open the door (yum!) ... .. ???...
No one was there! She left my pack near the door and she disappeared... :?
Maybe she read my innocent thoughts ?!?
By the way.. Hey babe, don't damage my Amiga items at all!!!! :nono: :boxer: :inlove:

Does the case include the front plastic? (I mean the white part with Amiga logo, A4000/040 and that kind of stuff)
-
Re: 4000/040 Desktop - splitting for parts - all available
No, bezel not included... It's just the lid and the metal bit. No drive cage, either...
-
I think it's time to close the thread...
If you want to give away the metal case, start a new thread, mate.
-
how much for shipping the case to sweden?
