Neo Geo AES (Console only, no peripherals)
I have a spare Neo Geo AES, its the console only and has a missing plastic power button slider (The actual power switch is ok inside, just missing the plastic). Also three of the rubber feet have come off in the past. But I will throw in my own as I replaced them with higher ones. They will need gluing on though (I didn't do this as you may want to undo the case and these cover the screw holes).
I originally bought this last year off ebay as "Junk". It had graphics errors. I only wanted the bottom as it was in very nice condition compared to my own. After I swapped the bottom I got curious on if I could repair it, I then replaced all the caps to see if that helped with the errors. It did! I also socketed the BIOS (so you can put a UniBIOS in straight away) and changed the output resistor/cap arrangement for RGB that is incorrect on early models (this is a very early Japanese model). So the RGB output is great, no flickering or rolling on bright flashing screens now. Shame the AV is so bad on these early models though (dot crawl central).
I ended up using it as my "test" machine for all the mods I made for my own AES. And now its been sat in a box doing nothing for 6 months or so. I was originally going to keep it for spares incase my own machine broke, but its just taking up room and i'm trying to clear out all my collected spare machines and bits not being used anymore.
So now I offer it for sale. I've not thoroughly tested it, but it all seems to be fixed now, but alas I want to sell it "as is" incase it has other problems i've not discovered. Of the 15 games I have, they all seem to work fine though.
The casing is very scratched underneath and is missing a serial number sticker, the top has minor scratches and some shiny areas where I tried to remove them with some stupid "scratch remover" (didn't work really). It also has a feint mark in the plastic that looks like a digital number 7 ?? (only visible in bright light, I can't even pick it up on camera).
So its a bit of a mish mash, but might serve someone who wants to relocate the mainboard for example. you could even choose to keep it as is and find a spare power switch, its in fairly ok condition to look at from the top.
Would like to get back roughly what I paid for it so: -
I'd like 50 Euro for it
P+P is extra
Denmark - 7.78 Euro
UK and Europe (EU) - 17.45 Euro
DENMARK, UK AND EUROPE (EU) ONLY
Pay via paypal as "goods", the fees are included in price above. No "gift" payments.
Cheers!
