For sale Blizzard 2040 accelerator card.
I can not get the card working in my A2000.
The card is cosmetic in good condition nothing strange to see on the board.

Hi mate i sow Your old tread this card need an hack on the motherboard of the amiga 2000. I had this in past exactly 15years ago...i remember was need a soldering of one cable to one CIA of the 2000 but don't remember where was need . You need to download the manuals of it, and you will see it will start work.Quote:

I'm interested in the card pending we can test it in my 2500.
That has 6.2 and I have another one also with 6.2, my 2060 works in that.

I have the manual of the Blizzard 2040 card and there is nothing about a hack or soldering.
But i have no manual for the A2000.
If you have more info that would be great.

sorry mate ... i dont remember nothing only that my rev of motherboard of the amiga 2000 was the 6, the cia was the second from the right of the video exit and the foot where is need the little hacking is the 8 from the down ... but i dont remember where the cable soldered to the cia goes (on kickstart or on the accelerator) ... sorry 15 years is really long time..
What exactly do on the monitor the amiga ?... black, white, blu, yellow or red color?
I have a black screen. 2000 does not boot.
With the other 040 that you are selling Everything working I presume, if is possible you can swap the 040 from one board to the other, just for check if is the CPU, hope not... If nothing probably a capacitor or is needed the hack that I don't remember, can ask the guy that interested in the board who have the 2060 if make some hack of the motherboard of his 2500 because 2040 and 2060 are the same board with only little difference of oscillator

I have tried it first in rev 4.4 and later in a rev 6.
Still the 2000 does not boot. Black screen nothing at all.
Give the card a try in the rev 6.2 of BuzzFuzz tomorow. See if the 2040 card will work in his 2000 (he has a 2060 installed in it)
Buzzfuzz was here tonight.
used my 2040 card in his 2500 (removed his 2060 card)
Card was dead no rainbow stripes, nothing.
I made a deal with Buzzfuzz he bought the card.
Its a shame such a great and beautifull accelerator wich does not work.
I 'am a little bit sad, it was an expensive card for me.

Yep it's here now, first thing I'll try is to get another 040 processor.
I've also tried another 6.2 board, but still no joy.
