I picked up this Amiga 1000 yesterday that I was going to use for spare parts but it's actually a pretty nice machine with some unexpected mods already done. Not really the machine I was expecting to use for spare parts.
I really don't want to scavenge this system, so if anyone is looking for a nicely setup Amiga 1000, I will offer it for sale instead.
It's not the best condition Amiga I've seen (I am very picky), but, it really isn't too bad considering how old it is.
What you get:
- Amiga 1000 main body
- Spirit Technology Insider board fully populated 1.5MB
- DKB Kwikstart board w/1.2 Kickstart ROMs.
- Keyboard
- Mouse
The computer boots into Workbench and shows 2MB of RAM. 512KB in the Amiga + the 1.5MB on the Insider board.
Also, there is a toggle switch mounted on the back. The wires run to the bottom of the Insider board and its used to disable the expansion memory for some reason?? I am not sure why the previous owner did this, but, maybe he wanted to be able to run in standard configuration.
Asking Price: $250USD for the package. I cover paypal fees. Buyer pays shipping.
If someone wants to split it up, my breakdown goes something like this (if bought separately):
- Spirit board: $120
- A1000 body and Kwikstart: $150
I don't mind splitting this up as long as everything is accounted for, but, I cannot separate the Kwikstart from the body because from what I read, a PAL chip had to be replaced with a better one on the daughter card for this DKB board to work.
NOTE on the pictures. In these pictures, the top lid is just RESTING on the case. I did not screw it back down yet.
