Commodore A2091 with 14 MHz mod
Hi out there,
to raise some funds, I have to sell one of my spare Commodore A2091. It is board revision 4.0 (modified).
The board is in good working condition and comes with 2 mb Fastram and ROM version 7.0 installed, but there is no harddisk included.
The interesting in this board is the 14 Mhz mod I did on it.
So I changed the SCSI chip to the latest available version AM33C93A-16PC which is capable of 14 MHz without overclocking.
I did not only cut the connection 1-2 on Jumper 201, but I soldered three pins so that it is possible to chose the clock rate of the SCSI chip by a jumper.
As you see in one picture, setting a jumper to 1-2 results in the normal performance of this SCSI board, approx 1.4 mb/s.
But closing pin 1-3 increases the performance dramatically to more than 2.3 mb/s (tested with my Conner 1 gb harddisk in an A2000 without acceleration). :D
Using an accelerator, e.g. A2630 and perhaps the GURU ROM (not included), the speed could increases to more than 2.9 mb/s! :wooha:
The "special jumper" will be incuded! ;)
If requested, I could include a copy of the A2091 install disk!
So I am asking 55 EUR + shipping
I accept PayPal (as a gift or the buyer takes the fees)
