Man Cave inc

Me and my girlfriend bought a house about 2 years ago, that have 2 rooms downstairs and 2 upstairs.
We had a son almost a year ago so one of the rooms on the top flor ( where i have my corner) is going to be transformed into my sons room so i had to move my computers and the rest of the hardware somwhere else.

So why not the basement? Its solid concrete so i can play all the musik i want as late as i want without disturbing any one :thumbsup:

I have startet to clean the room of all the crap there is in there and here are some pics, will post more pictures when i get further into this, i only have 2-3 houers a day to work on this litle project so it could take some time.

Well we had a flodding when we moved in that is why i will use a special kind of floor and no computers on the floor.
It was just 2-3cm of water in there so it wasent that bad :P

The floor is made of plastig with litle holes in it just in case there will be water and to air the concreat floor.
It can handle 2tons / m2 so i can gain a cuple of KG in weight this christmas :)
And the best part, it can be removed with ease and put up at another location or if i just want to clean under it.

Isn't what they call "car dealer carpeting"?
Good idea to use it in a cellar, it is not very comfortable to walk bare-foot on though, your feet look like the inverted version of the floor after a while ;)

It looks much better in real life, the camera did not manage to capture the LED strips very good so they look like they are fed with 400V :P

Was a bit worried about getting the glow in my eyes when i was sitting there but my monitor and the rest of the hardware will cover me so the light will only go up up up :)

The uneven surface of the wall sure makes it all looks even better :)

Still some minor things to do, like blocking the windows with somthing better then cardboard and fixing the air vent in the top left corner.

Looks good.. What kind of tables are they? Just wondering if they are a internationally recognised brand like IKEA by any chance?

Yes that is correct, i had about 2-3cm of water in that room 2 years ago and about 30cm in the garage that is wall to wall with this one so im not taking any chanses :D

They are kitchen benches from IKEA that i just added leggs in the front and bolted them to the wall in the back :)

You're lucky to have a dedicated room. My "cave" has to share with the freezer (wife thinks kitchen cannot fit it!!), a never used air conditioner, a door that never got fitted, some kitchen food overflow, her wine and also to double as the cats' bedroom (before one got lost on New Year and my other one died of heart condition a couple of months back).

Many of use would kill for a proper man cave!! :)

Your's looks nice and clean now. Great start. Will be watching for more photos!

Indeed, 42" is huge :)
I have a C64 but the tv dosent like it when it switches to the ecs, getting out of range so i have orderd a rgb-scart cable from amigakit now to see if i get a nice picture there instead.

Will be a litle hassle to switch the input on the tv all the time......

Nice cave, I hope to have one in the near future also, except mine has to house a bit more than a 3000T :-D

Needed a bit more space so i moved my speakers up a bit.

To the left you see my macmini running MorphOS 3.2
Then you see my 42" Plasma TV that i hocked up to my hardmodded xbox ( emulator machine) and my A3000T.

Also have an i7 laptop that i will place under the tv with the lid closed when i watch movies and things like that.

Wanted to take the pictures with the lights off but the led light i have placed behind everything where not enufe for my mobile camera to handle so i had to take a full light shot.

There aint to much on the other walls, the heater for the house is taking up the rest of the space and old crappy pc hardware :)

Now, that's a very good one. Somehow the upper shelf with the speakers really did the final touch! :thumbsup: Now it's a bona fide mancave.

(which I would do more if I had space to have all that hardware in the open.

The blind looks like a screen too, which makes it even better :)
