MY amiga 4000d project is finished!

I left the amiga for 10 years ... Yes all MY collection MY things was forgot in a wardrobe...
I had 2 x amiga 4000 motherboard Who was sleeping for this time.
One day was may i Was surfing on inet and Found an incredibile thing there was a amiga os 4.1 (i was stop to 3.9) and MY passion reborn.
I reopen my wardrobe fix my 2 Amiga 4000 d buy 2x Sam system and start my big project made a powerful Amiga 4000 d better of my last sold 10 years ago...
Was 2003 what I had
Amiga 4000d in elbox tower 16 mb ram
Cyberstormppc 060/604 233 128 mb 60 ns edo
Cybervision ppc.
Ariadne ii, catweasel , IBM uw hd 2x plextor cd uw, powerflayer 1 hd 1 dvdrom
Iomega zip, Buddha, Hypercom, prelude audio board

2013 today
Amiga 4000d 16 mb revision b subrevision f
Cyberstormppc 060/604 200 128 mb edo 60ns
Mediator Di voodoo 5500, soundblaster 128, fastethernet 10/100
Hd , dvdrom

Soon I will put scsi drives and tomorrow I will post the photos

I would also like to have a mediator for my 3 or 4000T, the decision witch one of them will get one will be a hard one.

Thanks guys now Just waithing dispatch from the sellers for my new gadgets hope the things will come soon for this upgrade.... For the future I have another one strange desktop upgrade for made this magic hardware more fresh and fun... Just need to have a positive reply for couple of friends :)

For the board yes Im sure for the ssd to because i Found a caddy for put the ssd and fix this small units in the 4000 hd zone.for the small DVD burner the same I found a caddy too ... Only problems is the adaptor uw 2 sata will see when it come but I'm really Luky because I have here a really small atx psu if the original psu of the Amiga take much space I will put this inside the a4000 I tested it and work great with the psu adaptor buyed from amigakit.

Lets see when all we be here

Just installed the Os 4.1.6 for classic mates is fantastic in my actual config
it is running in full 1080p on the voodoo 5500 and is really good fast and stable in mine actual configuration.
The hd is on the amiga 4000 internal ide right now will see how will fast the SSd on the adaptor putted on the uw of cybersormppc ...
Great and wonderful 20 years hardware can gave good sotisfactions ...
I surf on facebook, on ign, on all the new sites and in good speed ... right now i have a 604e 200 mhz ... will see with 333 :P

one friend of mine have a computer shop and geve to me a free adaptor from a mini itx standard case :thumbsup:

Now i just made a benchmark on Gfxbench 2d on os 4.1 ... the videoboard is the voodoo 5500

Result is the 183 is better of an A1200 603@240 mhz
and little worst of an amiga one with a radeon 7500

Only incompetence .... i dont know how is possible think a PowerII is equal to a 604e 333 .... the power II is more bigger and large cpu with a ultra big fan!

but the important thing from this days is that yesterday morning i become a daddy of a wonderful baby girl .. her name is Valentina Maria ...

will be better Amiga ... but my wife wont gave this name,im kidding about the name but i think about this for real... Amiga is a drug :D

I forgot to write about my project updates..
My old 040/25 604e 150mhz is starting his travel to stachu.
Soon it will upgraded to a 060/66 and 604e 375mhz :)
Hope next week after ond month waithig ****ty elbox will ship the payed boad and i ll close my project.
Hope soon can made a super amiga 4000 foto with valentina too :)

I wrote an Hard email to elbox this is a really terrible 1 MONT after buy and PAy something they did not send nothing and not reply email from customers.

Guys never buy something directly from this company ... VERY BAD FEEDBACK!

Hi chip after 1 monts they shipped today :) my previous hungry email made thay wake up and exactly today 1 h before they send to me the tracking info of the object buyed from they... In the email of yesterday night they was wrote the objects was shipped last week.... ... Thake your conclusion .
In all the case the important now is probably next week I will have the boards and will finish my project for the apulia retro computing event :)

Nice, there are some settings you can change in the CSPPC boot menu, I can't recall what ones _ I have to check my old thread but if these are true UW adapters maybe you can achieve up to 30mb/sec with the right settings :)

Im in big trouble here ...
Im try to made the SSd run on the dongle but
Hdtoolbox report impossible read drive description Error 224... :/
i cant install it :(
with the Sata HD apple i didnt have problems... :( :(

fixed was Httoolbox bug the hd is 120gb the apple was installed from a os 4.1 and i made the same for the ssd ... now work :D

Fast & not optimized test on Os3.9 of the ssd is near 12 mb sec on FFS ...

Stan is working on my cyberstormppc for now have a success in updating my cpu 040 to an 68060 rev 6 66mhz
There are some problems in 604e side... hope Stan the wizard will make this cyberstorm ppc ultra powerfull !

with PF3 the ssd go to 29 mb sec i think this is the limit of the 68060 50mhz i will make the test and the photo when stachu will send the upgraded cyberstormppc with 060 66 and the 604e 375 :)

i think its more likely the limit of the controller not the cpu as its scsi.
where as ide is cpu intensive.

Probably you true but the file system is working under the 68k .
There is on the 3 Colum the 66mhz comparison the First benchmarch block of sysinfo. Is really impressive in performances.this are the file system directive more hi are this more faster is the loading of the os :) and this benchmark was made by Cyberstorm ppc with 66mhz 68k on an Amiga 3000
