DCE ScanMagic (Internal)

I have a DCE ScanMagic (Internal) for use in an A4000D or A1200.

I was going to use it in my A4000T but its very difficult if not impossible to fit inside the A4000 Tower.

It works perfectly and gave me an excellent display on my 17" CRT VGA monitor when i tried it on the A4000 desktop. Games and all worked great.

Basicly i want to swap/trade/part exchange it with either an external scandoubler or else one that fits in the video slot or whatever.

It must be compatible with games and also with workbench without having to swap cables etc... Just like the scanmagic.

Let me know.

Is it the version with FlickerFixer or without?

I am not quite sure.

What i can tell you is that it is the one which fits over the Alice and also over the Lisa. I tried it on a Sampo 17inch SVGA monitor with Hi-Res Laced and the screen had no flicker or lace.

Mmm...then..im ALMOST not 100% sure that it has FlickerFixer....would you consider selling it? And maybe you could try an Indivision? Or it will have the same problem and you require an external scandoubler as only solution?

I would consider selling it, not sure yet.

There is no indivision for the tower A4000 :( :(. I think my best option would be either an internal zorro/video slot solution or else an external.

The SD version only has 2 Chips in the main PCB. The FF/SD has 4 Chips on the mian PCB.

Top pic is a FF/SD, second pic down is a SD only.

This will not fit in an A4000T, period.

Afaik, Jens is working on an Indivision for the A4KT. There was a thread over on A.org recently or you could Email Jens over @ Individiual Computers & ask him.

It has 4 chips.. So it is scandoubler/flicker fixer.

I need a scandoubler/ff that is either external or else as a Zorro card so that i can use a VGA on my A4000T instead of the rubbish 1084S.

My ScanMagic is very usefull for who has a A1200 or A4000.

Probably yes.

But very unlikely you'll be able to find those ancient memory chips.
