Hi All,
Been a busy weekend for the wrong reasons. Temperature went from the zero range up to 21 degrees C and caused a lot of flooding so i spend some time helping out my friends in their cabins. I had 3 feet of snow in my back yard on Friday which has now gone so you can imagine the amount of thaw we had.
Also, my heating element on my soldering iron gave up and i was just able to scrounge a soldering iron (cheapie) till i get a replacement later this week and finally, i was able to get 4 more boards sent off before i ran out of decent cardboard that i was using to make the homemade boxes. Sooo, i persauded the cafeteria at work to order me a whole pile of pizza boxes which will be here tomorrow so i will be mailing a whole pile on Friday. I haven't had a chance to get hardly any of my other boards done as well so sorry for delays.

NB, i messed up on a couple of orders and accidentally sent as small packet instead of tracked packet, so i owe a refund to a couple of you. I'll msg those concerned when i get a chance to sit down and go thru the paperwork (I really do hate paperwork, thats why i became a tech, figured less paperwork... hmmm, didn't work out too good either lol
That's one heck of a big job you got there Kipper, next to your normal daytime job :)
But you are making a lot of people happy campers :D

Just a short question...we will need (at least some of us) some 'proof of value' for our local Customs....have you inserted any 'invoices' in the package (or other docs)?
Any chance to get something usefull for the Customs purposes (value wise)?
Same question to other forum members who ordered this board (and already received...possibly in EU)....how did you arrange it with the Customs?
Still waiting for mine....but better to be ready than sorry...:D

I am from Poland, it is hard to say how different are the customs procedures between our countries, but it is the same EU. In my case the package was delivered by postal car, and postman had also invoice from custom office. Then I paid it (actually it is not custom pay, it is VAT, but documents are issued by custom office) to him by cash, signed invoice, and package was mine. When I ordered some stuff from US before, the procedure was exactly the same.
I never had to do anything until postman rang to my door ;) Everything was done by postal officers, the role of mine was to sign, pay and take the package.
Information delivered by kipper during sending the package was enough for them, there was no need to prepare any special document.
If you have any doubts ask at your post office.

it's the info I was looking for...:)...also kipper2k confirmed that he inserted a nominal value for the package...so this should be Ok...
When I receive packages from outside EU without any value stated then I'm always requested from the Customs to provide an invoice or some kind of 'value statement'....:thumbsdown:
