hi kipper i have 2 off 2 500 boards is this ok or will i still need yours?
I see our ebay buddy who bought up a whole bunch of amber chips is at it again selling off a bunch of denise chips (hey 50 denise chips for 800$ sure... lol!)
It is not worth the money for the super Denise for the few extra workbench video modes. The Denise from an A500 will do fine.
I received notification that my components have just been shipped... one of them is earmarked for delivery in Spain so i am not sure whats going on, hopefully they'll catch the error and send it to the right country. I guess it's taking the scenic route. I have 5 deliveries expected to arrive this week so hopefully i'll be able to start with the mailing portion soon
Boards should hopefully ship (to me) this Thurs/Friday. For those people who want to do the group mailings its time to get it sorted as it's not that far away now.

Kipper, the way it looks now I will be taking care of the shipping for 10 or 11 boards + components to the Netherlands. Waiting for confirmation of all participants. Once we know the shippings costs I will send you payment.
@kipper2k
Can one assume that two boards plus some components will fit within the 1kg shipping bracket? I am not sure how much to allow for packaging materials.
I agree with bjavor, there should be a german manual and a traslaction in english but
i wasn't able to find. Anyone had a link?
Thanks in advance.
i just upped it to the zone on EAB.
some english info is also available via http://web.archive.org/web/200906041...info/index.asp Unfortunately the english translation is not up there.
@webheadx1
Many thanks, was just what I was looking for.
This has become quite a long thread to read now, so to save time, is there any boards left? Is it too late to get on board?
I may have 1 or 2 left once i receive and check them, i will let you know later
@thread.
I thought i would share this solder tip that i have never seen anyone else do, it is simple to do and will save the eyeballs and fingers.
http://www.kipper2k.com/gb1000/soldertip01.jpg
First off, imagine you need to solder the 4 memory chips on this board. (On the GB1000 there are a lot more. So the easiest way to line them up is to make a set square ("T" square). find 2 pieces of old board or something that has flat square sides and then glue them together to make a right angle. as shown in above picture.
Once that is done you can then slide it up and down the board you are working on as shown in the picture below and when you rest the chip to be soldered against it, you know it is square :)
http://www.kipper2k.com/gb1000/soldertip02.jpg
Then when you are happy with it you can tack it on either end and verify its straight and then continue on soldering the chip
Piece of cake eh!!
Just remember to plan ahead so you can use this tool without obstructions
Nice one. Thanks Kipper2k
kipper what is that board in your pics?
Judging by the pic's it's his A600 8mb ram pcb with two of his hybrid video card's. He just seem to create all this stuff, a remarkable man :cool:

Thanks for that Kipper. Since I posted that query, webheadx1 (imigger on eab) offered me his own order that he's already paid you for, and I've agreed to purchase his I believe he's discussed this with you already?
I'll want to add a few extra components to the order, so I'll PM you on that.
Any news on the 68030rc50?
@kipper2k
Please add 32 Fast Ram to my component list like piacc64 say.
Thank you

i sold my board and parts to draxx as i got to get a new car and need all the money i can get at the moment , so i sold it to draxx on here , hes taking it over from me . i hate cars.
Hi All,
So far its a good day, I have notification of shipping of the boards, They should be in Thunder Bay by Thursday and then i should have them on the Mon/Tue following.
I also received notification of shipping for the final order of CPU's and ram etc so hopefully i will have everything that is needed for the first component order ready to go at the same time as the boards.
What i will need from everyone when they pay for the shipping is a note included with the paypal payment that tells me who you are(real name), nick, forum. list of parts you bought (including board and TSOP solder etc), and most important of all your mailing address.
REMEMBER... Paypal does not include your mailing address on the payment invoice if you pay by gift (Send money fo friend/family) option so please ensure you include it as it as a pain for me to try to cross reference everything..
If you are in a shipping group then let me know who is doing payment for the group, and i also need confirmation from a person who has paid individually to give authorisation for me to mail it to the shipper of that group.
I dont have postage rates for individual people yet so stand by for updates.
I am also out of town until Wed so there are a couple of updates to the list that haven't been updated yet. If you see an error or omission let me know and i will fix it when i get back on Wednesday

Is it possible to get the 29F800 TSOP unsoldered, just like the other parts from you kipper?
Is there a UK group for postage set up ?
Hi
Please update me on the list of component payment made by Pay Pal from krisbA. Paid for: CPU 68030/50, chip mem, fastmem, 2x slot zorro, RTC, TSOP.
@Kipper2K
Is still possible to add 32 Fast Ram to my component list?
Any news ?
Are there any mainboards left?
Hi.
Is there any group from Sweden?
Nope, I thought i was alone ;)
I'm here also. :D
If will organise the shipment to Sweden together it will be a little cheaper... possibly...
Just rejoined the Amiga scene and caught the bug again having unpacked my A1200 from hibernation recently :)
Have just read the whole thread with great interest and am gutted to have missed out joining the list by about a month. Hohumm... such is life :dry:
Kipper2k - if you decide to do a second run on the boards and components in the near future, of have any spares, count me in :D
There is no news since 4-5 days. I think Kipper2k is out of Canada, he drinks lots of coctail in Hawaii.
Only Amiga makes its possible!
So after this stupid joke,
i can say, i'm looking forward to doing some solder with my new ELSA Digital 2000A solder station.
The GB1000 is cost me a fortune :)
Hi All,
Ok, time for an update, I have most parts, and some boards, there are still a couple of boxes (main boards). Strangely enough the lighter of the 4 boxes made it and the others are still showing clearance delay that haven't made it to Thunder Bay yet. (and they still need to be forwarded to me here). I will take some pics of the parts i have received a bit later to show you what i got and where i am at etc (and to show you that i didn't go partying with you guys' money :)
. I have most of the main parts and i still have a fair bit of soldering (video hybrids) to do so bear with me.
wellcome back from hawaii my friend :p
here's some pics of the parts as promised...

Still waiting for another batch of cpu's, RTC chips and mem chip, and i have to make some more vid hybrids. and of course the boards. I have all the Agnus and oscillators (not the 100mhz ones).
Awesome. Getting very excited, but that might be because my wife is in labour right now too
Hehe, too true. Turns out its very early labour so hospital has sent us back home for now. Time to fire up the solder station! LOL, JK
Woaaaw send me all please :)

once i get the boards i will start checking weight etc as they need to be packed to protect em against the throwing arms of the Postal services :)
@kipper
I sent you email, but got no response from you. (I know you're busy...)
Is it possible to add me to your component group buy? Same quantity as you enough for one board?
Are you going to create resistor/cap lot package for sale too?
Hi yup, i can add you, and once i get all these sorted i'll do up one for the GALs (and guys) and other bits and pieces.. sockets, headers and other bits

Here's pictures of the boards that arrived to my home in Thunder Bay today. I still need to get my daughter to forward them to me but i may be able to persaude her to mail some for me. (I'll try lol). Any that require the TSOP solder must come to me first.
