thanks for the heads up. I had no choice, i had to buy one, i want a complete board and they are tough to find...
here's the link for people that are like me and must have one...

I don't think they will last too long before they are gone
heh, that really sucks. when I got mine from oldsoftware, he had 30-40? still available.
exploiting a community project sucks :/
He did order one through amiga.org :ninja:
And I do have a couple extra myself just so I would get free shipping (I know, anything to cut down on stupid shipping costs .. lol).
If later on down the line there are people who really can't get their hands on one we can do a little lottery (if there are too many people) and will sell for $13 (which is what I paid).
do we know which agnus is used exactly, I see there are some pin difference between 8372 + 8375.Quote:
i suppose only fat agnus 318069-03 and 318069-18 pal and 318069-19 ntsc are ok for this project (318069-18/19 need one modify on one pin)
I have the 390544-01 pal (a500+/a600 chip). wikipedia shows 4 pins different order from the 8372 (318069-03)..
some googling....
from what I can tell, the pin shifted 390544-01 wont work and you need the 8372AB (318069-03 chip)... ugh. back to the drawing board
I just ordered the Zorro2 slot connector from Jameco... including shipping/customs etc the cost each would be about $0.75 to $1 each. I bought 100 so hopefully you guys will want one. They were on clearance and i wanted to make sure there was enough left.

I almost brought 3 of the chips then thought she'll be right ;-) Besides lets 3 others who really want this feature get that chance.
For the Europeans eBay.de has the correct amber chip. Advertised for the 3000 and the GB board. Price is now up to just under 18 euros.
k,
I have found a place that supposedly has 2400+ Amber chips, i sent them an email... lets see what happens
Way to go on the Zorro 2 slot Kipper
x 2 for me please but however you wanna do that, I have to pay you for TSOP x 2 also but figure I would wait till you have the boards since you initially said you preferred payment for that service then.
LOL @ 2400+ Amber chips .. that would be soooo awesome, if that's true you need to make sure everyone knows so they don't keep buying the Ebay ones ;)
hi kipper can i have a connector tsop fast memory umm anything else i can have shall i pay now or later????
I would take on the agnus supply but I can be away for long periods at short notice so would hope someone else in Europe can do this.
Please add the tsop service for me also. I already payed via payal. If possible I would like to combine shipping to the Netherlands.
Thanks
Almost time to close....
To order a board and see payment options go to the first post of this thread.
Order closing date is 2200 (CST) Wed March 13th 2013.

kipper2k it's ok like say piacc64 add to my order : ).
Pls add also the TSOP soldering to my order...;)
Wow - its finally over - it seemed like it would never end. 131 boards. To think, it all started with everyone saying Georg wouldn't let us do it.
131 boards later we are about to have a mahhosive order placed by Brian.
Thanks to everyone who has purchased a board or even just shown an interest in the project. :D
and now the important components joint purchases
Let's try to keep the source of some components secret so SOMEONE don't buy them all and try to sell on ebay hehe
can I get him in blue:D
You can add the zorro2 slot to my order too. Thanks in advance
zorro2 ???
i need them olso
Hi, if it is possible, add one zorro connector to my GBA1000 PCB order.
thx
Hi,
I'll add you to the list, don't send me any money yet, it's hard enough at the moment trying to keep track of who paid, for what and how much.:)
Orders now closed:
Boards have been ordered. total i ordered was 135 (i ordered a couple of extras as spare :). I was quoted 17 days completion time (don't include weekends).
K, Now moving onto the next component, I want to get an idea of who needs the CPU, sockets, ram etc as i don't want to order excessive parts so what i will do will be to get a price list of all the main IC's and then let people decide if they want to buy them from me.. This is going to take about a week to set up so be patient.
I am pretty sure the prices i get will rival if not beat other prices, and if you get better prices then i'll buy from you :)
Gunter in Germany has emailed be about availability of Agnus, Oscillators, and serial/parallel edge connectors (23/25pin) so that looks like a good source for those items.
I think there is some confusion as to which version of Agnus we need... Can anyone clarify which is the compatible revision ?
Everyone please check the list, make sure i have the correct info there.

Count me in for the group buy for CPU, Ram etc.
Kipper2k
can you create a list of the components we can buy ?
we need a list of what you can get cheap, i want stuff like sockets fast ram, tsop, cpu, fpu, agnus, amber, and anything else that a bugger to get and the zorro, so a list of stuff and there price then we could pick or something like that????
I need the proper 2mb agnus and the pal 28.37516mhz oscillator to be safe. oh and the two VIdiot chips...
I'd go in on group buys for that.
i have all my pals + gals and a programmer so should be good there.
According to the schematics here, it is the 8372B / 8372AB part.
So if these schematics still apply, the correct part is 318069-03 / 318069-039.
is there stock of 318069-11 somewhere?? going to be hard to find the right agnii if someone does not find a box of a 130plus of these babies :(
so is that the same for pal as i read thats ntsc doesnt mention pal on that agnus chip?? so i take it we need the pal version?
I think there will be a lot of us that aren't used to ordering these types of components. If the more experienced parts purchases in this thread (Kipper, PJM, BLTCON0, etc.) can put together a group-buy of the hard-to-get bits, or even a complete set of bits, count me in.
Count me also in or group buy of parts like cpu ram etc.
I already obtained a Amber and Video hybrid but sure can use the other hard to get parts.
I just bought 25 of the NTSC -11 Agnus and 28.375 MHz clocks. (I have the schematics for the rev 4 as well as the board design). There are lots of the Agnus -11s available. I cant buy too much as it is sucking up all my cash
(I am yakumo9275, I dont remember why I have a different nic on amibay than eab + amiga.org).. as an fyi..
This video could be very helpful for people not too sure about how to solder chips on their boards.
