Someone bought all the Amber chips that the oldsoftware site had available and is now selling them on Ebay for > double the price :thumbsdown:

But I guess at least there are some available for sale.

thanks for the heads up. I had no choice, i had to buy one, i want a complete board and they are tough to find...

And I do have a couple extra myself just so I would get free shipping (I know, anything to cut down on stupid shipping costs .. lol).

If later on down the line there are people who really can't get their hands on one we can do a little lottery (if there are too many people) and will sell for $13 (which is what I paid).

from what I can tell, the pin shifted 390544-01 wont work and you need the 8372AB (318069-03 chip)... ugh. back to the drawing board

I just ordered the Zorro2 slot connector from Jameco... including shipping/customs etc the cost each would be about $0.75 to $1 each. I bought 100 so hopefully you guys will want one. They were on clearance and i wanted to make sure there was enough left.

For the Europeans eBay.de has the correct amber chip. Advertised for the 3000 and the GB board. Price is now up to just under 18 euros.

do we know if he got to the point of running it? it will fit in the socket but the pins wont be correct...

I dont remember hearing if he completed the project or not.

x 2 for me please but however you wanna do that, I have to pay you for TSOP x 2 also but figure I would wait till you have the boards since you initially said you preferred payment for that service then.

LOL @ 2400+ Amber chips .. that would be soooo awesome, if that's true you need to make sure everyone knows so they don't keep buying the Ebay ones ;)

Couldn't the plain and very-easy-to-get-hold-of 8372A be used as a temporary drop-in replacement (limiting access to 1 MB chip RAM, of course) as it's more or less pin compatible with the 8372(A)B ?

Wow - its finally over - it seemed like it would never end. 131 boards. To think, it all started with everyone saying Georg wouldn't let us do it.

131 boards later we are about to have a mahhosive order placed by Brian.

Boards have been ordered. total i ordered was 135 (i ordered a couple of extras as spare :). I was quoted 17 days completion time (don't include weekends).

K, Now moving onto the next component, I want to get an idea of who needs the CPU, sockets, ram etc as i don't want to order excessive parts so what i will do will be to get a price list of all the main IC's and then let people decide if they want to buy them from me.. This is going to take about a week to set up so be patient.

I am pretty sure the prices i get will rival if not beat other prices, and if you get better prices then i'll buy from you :)

Gunter in Germany has emailed be about availability of Agnus, Oscillators, and serial/parallel edge connectors (23/25pin) so that looks like a good source for those items.

I think there is some confusion as to which version of Agnus we need... Can anyone clarify which is the compatible revision ?

Everyone please check the list, make sure i have the correct info there.

i have all my pals + gals and a programmer so should be good there.

I think there will be a lot of us that aren't used to ordering these types of components. If the more experienced parts purchases in this thread (Kipper, PJM, BLTCON0, etc.) can put together a group-buy of the hard-to-get bits, or even a complete set of bits, count me in.

I just bought 25 of the NTSC -11 Agnus and 28.375 MHz clocks. (I have the schematics for the rev 4 as well as the board design). There are lots of the Agnus -11s available. I cant buy too much as it is sucking up all my cash

I'll ask the person who i got them from if he wants to do individual orders. I bought them for people who want to do the group buy. price will be about 7euros each (i paid 6 plus shipping + i'll prob get nailed by customs for some duty or other
