Prelude1200 soundcard

I have a Prelude1200 soundcard for sale. Its a 16bit full duplex card, and fits on the clock port of the Amiga A1200. Full Package.jpg

If I remember correctly it is the rightmost set of pins on the clockport (looking towards front of mobo) that this card connects to.

This is a hard parting for me, as I did a lot of work in Octamed Soundstudio using this card (tick the toccatta 16bit option in the mixing settings::)...hence the price...£80 gbp postage free in the UK, and whatever it costs overseas.

I´m waiting for conclussion of musojon74-easypreacher negotiation.

After that, if Prelude1200 go "free" again. I declare my interest on this card.

But, I need some explanation about connections on my A1200, because I have Indivision AGA 1200 & IDE-fix Express! My configuration is an A1200 desktop connected by long cables (IDE-fix, PSU & external floppys) to a PC mid-tower..... Maybe I need a very large clockport cable? (not problem to make one myself).

I have found the CD to accompany Prelude....contains all drivers, libs and other bits and pieces.

To answer Merlinkv's question...the card utilises the rightmost 22 pins of the clockport, and lies flat on the mobo. I am unfamiliar with the Indivision and IDE Express, so I dont know what issues you face regarding the clockport being obscured. However, in the instruction leaflet that came with the card it says this..."if you find that you cannot use the clockport because it is obstructed in some way....contact your supplier and in most cases they will be able to advise you how to get around the problem"...this suggests to me that workarounds are possible.

I think that the only issue will when using too long cable: then the cable itself will catch electrical interference rendering the hardware unstable.

I open again my A1200 and regarding dimensions of the Prelude1200 I know fits perfect on my "desktop" case. If not, I make a shielded round-cable for the clockport, not problem.

Maybe one problem with long cable, not interference but.... Possible delays on audio input/outputs?

If no way to put inside, and connect with my self-made cable, this cable will be 40 or 45 cms.....

In anyway, I'm interested on this board.
