Hello, I would be interested in one 68060 CPU if any is still available, thanks.
Attilio,
Yes, I have one or two left. Look for a PM from me for details. It's a long thread, and I have a couple of previous threads that you should look at that best describe the new, full 68060 chips if you have any questions, or of course I can answer here.
-- UPDATE --
All paid units have been shipped. Hopefully you all received tracking information, or the items. Those in the US should have their units within a couple of days. Those in Europe should receive by next week, I would estimate. Let me know if you have any concerns! Thanks.
As I said to Attilio, I have a couple of units left, and that's it.

Attilio has withdrawn interest via PM, I don't know if he will post here.
The result is that I do still have 2 units available. These are the last of the batch. Unless interest is declared by the end of the long weekend (it's Labor day here in the US this weekend, we have Monday, September 2, 2013 off), I want to more permanently seal and store them, so if I do list them again beyond then, it will be in a new thread.
Thanks to all, and again, all units have been shipped (to 4 different countries!) as agreed upon and tracking information has been provided. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions.
One interesting note.. I have one CPU that I think I'm going to keep -- it's one of the few 68060 chips that were manufactured in the USA. It's quite striking -- they switched to Malaysia sometime in '95, rarely see a 68060 marked "USA" under the date/batch codes!
Thanks,
-P
Received. Fe.edback Left. Thank You.
Thanks. Glad, feedback left for you as well.
--- UPDATE Tuesday 09/03/2013 ---
I guess I will be sealing the last couple of full, new Motorola XC 68060s. If there is any interest, please get in touch ASAP, otherwise I will withdraw these from the thread as I will be storing them.
Thanks all,
-P
Items received, feedback left.
item received, but it says "MC68EC060RC50", which is *not* what it was described as - exchange, please!
Also, you might want to shout at your courier.. The photo below shows how I found it in my mailbox - it's a wonder, the chip hadn't fallen out..

Hoover,
As mentioned in the threads as explained here and referenced in the description, Motorola, in the nineties, occasionally marked full versions as "EC" and "LC" for business reasons -- they could more cheaply run a larger manufacturing for all full versions and had customers who wanted lower cost models, so they simply changed the part number marking. The difference is simply a little "paint" on the silkscreen, which is otherwise accurate without the letters "EC", and this happened at the Motorola factory, in this case, you have my word on this, please test this with your hardware. My guarantee stands, the chip will have a FULL CPU, MMU, and FPU.
This has been verified by plenty of people here, if you don't want to take my word for it, I'm sure one or more of them would be willing to verify for this.
For example:
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=44380&p=483318
Again, my guarantee stands, you will have a functional full version, full CPU, MMU, FPU, please don't worry about this, this has been tested by multiple people here other than me, and you should go ahead and test with your hardware.
Regarding the packaging, as you know the item originated in the US and was handled by the USPS and Danish Post (possibly with a subcontractor like DHL, the USPS uses them sometimes). Yelling at any of these folks wouldn't get me very far I'm afraid :). I can assure you that the CPU was packaged in a secure way to protect the pins and the IC from conductivity issues, moisture, etc. The packaging was also *very* secure when I packaged it, and you did request a padded envelope for your mail slot, as I recall.
Was the item damaged in any way during shipment? Is it damaged?
Thank you, I understand your concerns, but please do understand that assuming it was not damaged during shipment, you do have a brand new 68060 that is a full version, and as I said, you should run your own benchmarks/tests to verify this. Let me know what your results are.
Thanks a lot, if you have any other questions, I'm more than happy to answer.

Hi Hooverphonique,
it isn't my business, so, sorry if i put my nose in your business, but it is just to tell my experience about. Just a couple days ago, i had exactly tha same CPU, bought on an Apollo 1240 upgraded, from a friend here on Amibay. I was upset too, but honestly, after many tests...running diagnostic programs, demos, etc... i was quite happy with it. Mine had full FPU and MMU (tested with remapollo and oxypatcher). Never had a single problem with it. I just replaced it, cause i wanted latest mask (rev.6) for overclocking. :P
Now that i have a rev.6, i must even say that the temperature difference isn't so large... :(
I think you had a good deal afterall. ;)
Look,
the description in this thread of what you're selling says nothing about MC68EC060 marked chips, but talks about XC68060.. That you had trouble delivering the right chip to others in other threads, was exactly why I was concerned buying from you, but you reassured me, that you would get it right this time. I was never under the impression that what you were selling here was "wrongly" marked chips, my only concern was just that you accidently might send me the wrong item and I would have to go through the trouble of returning it..
Nowhere was there any mention of these chips not being marked "correctly", and the fact you talked about full versions marked as EC's in other threads has nothing to do with this one, especially since you in this one talks about sourcing new chips..
No, it doesn't appear to be damaged..
I already told you that I currently have no hardware to test on..
In case I need to sell it later, I really don't like being stuck with one that is not correctly labelled, because if I can't test it, I can't be sure what I would be selling..
Can you somehow provide me with evidence, that the part number on my chip is a part number that was used for full chips only, maybe? the mask number has been used for both 68EC060 and 68060 and the part number is not the same as the one in picture in the thread you link to, which is kind of suspicious, considering you mentioned all these cpu's are from the same batch?
Zybex, thank you for your comment. Hope all is well with your system. How high did you get with the MC 060 so far? How high did you try with the XC? Perhaps it's a work in progress, but interested in your results.
I don't mean to nitpick, but the chip you received should not be marked as MC at all. It should be marked as XC, and I did not mention nor handle anything MC other than say that what I was offering was an XC revision part to those who inquired about MC parts.
If you read the one thread to which I posted a link earlier, then you understand this is to what I've been referring when I've said (my other 68060 threads). I mentioned that these would be similar. There is no functional difference. You have a full version part. That thread includes benchmarks and pictures, actually none shows a picture without this marking discrepancy.
The source is the same. I thought I had made that clear. The chips are essentially the same, save a few different date codes, but again, there is no functional difference and all are the same revision.
See above, in the post I quote of myself, talking specifically about this possibility in the chips offered. I made bold the relevant section in my quoted post above.. Otherwise, it's exactly as posted, here's a direct link back in this thread:
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=46251&p=497554
The date codes are not all the same, by the the batch, I meant my supplier's stock of full 68060 CPUs. As I've mentioned here, they were purchased here in the USA, and track back, within the USA, to Motorola (or a Motorola distributor). They have *never* been remarked. They've been sitting on a shelf static wrapped in trays in ISO-compliant packaging for more than a decade. Remarking usually makes things more complicated, which is why I tried to be absolutely forthright about these CPUs. It's why I wouldn't remark them. This happens a lot in Asia and people hate this fact because it obfuscates the supply. I've made no attempt to do so here, but I do make you a personal guarantee that you have a full version, genuine Motorola, no remarking, and no functional difference. Literally, Motorola made a batch of full versions sometimes in the 90s, depending on the marketplace supply/demand, and stamped some XC68060RC50, some XC68EC060RC50 and some XC68LC060RC50 and sold them to the respective customers, knowing full well that a full version satisfies the requirements of all buyers, and didn't jeopardize their ability to differentiate in price.
I will gladly extend my guarantee to you, so long as you keep it sealed in the plastic box in which it shipped until you can test it with your hardware. Will this work for you? If not, and you wish not to use the CPU, I will try to arrange something for you. I understand that you said you are suspicious, I suppose I can only respond to your concerns, but I obviously don't want you to be unhappy. If you are going to use the CPU, I really recommend taking me up on my offer above. If you bought it for resale or don't want it for some other reason, I will do my best to make an alternate arrangement for you, send me a PM, but please do understand that you have a full version 68060.
Also, I have sold quite a few of these to quite a few people, and you're free to inquire of them as well -- I haven't received any other complaints.
Thanks,
-P
my chips arrived safely yesterday.
Interested if 060 has full mmu & fpu.
Pm sent.
klx -- received your PM, and sent one back with details.
Thanks,
-P
--- THREAD UPDATE ---
If anyone else is interested, I've had a couple of inquiries, klx has officially declared interest, so he's first in line. I intended to move these into storage, but I'd be willing to sell them, so if you have official interest, please post here soon. I can't guarantee a unit unless you post to the thread. This is the end of this batch, so I can't guarantee that I'd be able to supply any further units -- in fact, I have major doubts, there aren't too many brand new full versions that I would be comfortable selling still out there. Regardless, I have a maximum of 3 units (with declared interest from klx, 2, and if interest, expressed via PM, is declared, perhaps only one unit left). Anyway, I'll wait a few more days if the interest is there (it seems to be), but please do declare here, I don't want there to be any confusion. To give you an idea, approximately 20 units have been sold in this thread, and others I've posted recently.
money sent! thanks for the quick reply Phil:)
Put me down for one.
Payment made to phillct.
Received, thanks. Also, look for a PM/email with details.
Philip
--- UPDATE ---
Any other interest is dependent on one possible unit that I'm not sure is available. Otherwise, the batch is gone. If you want to post backup interest at this point, that would be a good idea if you want one... but I cannot guarantee it.
Hi all,
I originally wanted to keep the 68060 CPU I mentioned earlier that was actually manufactured in the USA, not Malaysia, (call me sentimental, I guess).
I haven't decided whether or not I want to sell it.. But I've received some inquiries, and I'm wondering if someone does want it. It's the last one, so if there is a need out there....
If so, send a PM, and I will consider posting it for sale.
Thanks,
-P
--- THREAD UPDATE ---
All who purchased in the last week, last three (3) units, I believe.... Look for PMs and/or emails with shipment details.
Phil,
I have not received an email nor a PM with any shipping details and have not received the 68060 CPU. Can you please provide an update?

Hi exxos,
i would like to know what do it change about 006 number on the side of the cpu. There is something about the overclock ability of the cpu?? Please let me know, because it sound interesting. :D
CPU paid for in September still hasn't arrived, apparently the original tracking details have been lost.
Philip kindly indicated he would send a replacement with tracking number but I've had no contact from him since early November.
Andy,
Look for a PM from me.
Sincerely sorry for the lost package, I wish I had control. Things were smooth the last time.
Of course I will send you a replacement at my cost unless you have received.
