A500 1.5MB Upgrade AMRAM

Hello there my fellow AmiBayers


for you retro-collection today I am sending an AMRAM 1MB Upgrade card (takes your A500 to 1,5MB) back into the wild.

I am not sending it alone though and have included a further 512KB additional that plugs into the AMRAM card giving you an additional Full 1.5MB of RAM -

This will give your A500 2MB of RAM - however I am not sure if that will be as a full 2MB CHIP RAM (possible with a compatible 8375 318x series Agnus) or 1.5MB Chip and 512KB (Slow) Fast Ram - however it is also equally possible that it will only see 1.8MB of the memory.

Unfortunately there is VERY little information on this card

I donot have an A500 to test this unit with but I was assured when I bought it that it was working - I have since repaired the pin damage (soldered a new set of pins to the legs of the gary adapter)

As such these are NOT removable and raise the clearance by 3mm (I have checked this hight in an A500+ (*same chassis*) and it is clear.

The second 512KB card has a enable / disable switch should you require it to run certain softwares.

To install this upgrade you will have to open your Amiga, alas I have never recieved any instructions, but I can help you with your installation if you do need help.

I was sold this unit as a working, alas I dont have an A500 to test - as such I will offer a full refund on DOA (dead on arival)

My reason for sale is that I want a 1MB upgrade for my A500+

Now... this can be yours for the handsome price of £15 + postage

I think I may have a 500 in the loft you can have if you want to test it out chap. Not sure if it works though.

If you are allowed out to paly this Friday m8, and you want some hackery fun, (and its not too much trouble) please bring it with you =D

we can then play a bit with the CBM+4 and the A500 / A500+ and the SCSI-IDE dongle liciousness

and.... if we stike a bit lucky.... maybe some SBC action in an A2000 =D

have a look on Vesalia.de, they sell these ramboard for A500+ at the moment for 6,99€. The dispatch could be expensive, but i did not really know how expensive it is. I have bought three of them, and they work fine!

Just search for "Amiga 500 plus" then you should find the ramboard, it is from Pro-Computer.
