SimonLCFC your machine should be well with in spec even if its running at such high temps, if there was a problem you be experiencing lock ups haveing said that its usualy much preferable for reliability and longevity to keep your temps down
first of which way is the fan blowing in the psu as many blow inwards which ineffect means u are blowing hot air into your machine
as has been metiond about fans on the side of cases haveing a fan that brings cooler air in can help. you also need to be mindful of how the air will circulate in the case after all if it dosnt flow over the warm bits it wont cool them down
as far as i can see the only fan pulling air into your machine is the one on the cpu
where is the gfx card ???
hi froggy the gpu is at the top of the pic against the case
yea only fan is on cpu
Cheers for the advice. The GFX card is right at the top, directly below to top of the case - the back of which (right next to the fan vent) is gathering all the heat. I've got the Exhaust Fan (which john advised, cheers again) but tbh, for a number of reasons i've decided to let the PC & Tablet go and get a laptop (i'm sure i'll be told how good/bad it is lol!)
Put a deposit on a HP Pavilion G6 3420M, so once i've been paid for the PC i'll pick it up. Seems to be a good budget gaming laptop (will take the precaution of getting a GOOD laptop cooler) which I can use for work too. 8gb DDR3, Radeon 6520g (not great, but, by all accounts it runs lots of newish games well enough) but only 500gb HD (i'll be getting a 1tb external at some point too...)
Anybody know much about these?
7750 and below get their power from the PCI-E slot and don't need extra power. They perform amazingly well at low wattages because of their small die size.

That puts it about 2300 3D marks ahead of the 4th gen HD4000. Quite an improvement.
i got this yesterday to cool the gaming room
