Clearout - Free Stuff!

Yup, having a major spring clean this year, and decided I have a few things just getting in the way. Feeling generous and decided to give 'em anyway so if anybody wants anything let me know.

Collection preferred (especially for bigger items) but can deliver if postage costs are covered.

Remaining :-

5 - Citizen swift 9 dot matrix printer. Seems to work fine when trying inbuilt test prints - although ribbon cartridge is a bit dried out. In original box with manuals & complete with print manager for the Amiga.


Taken so far :-

1 - Miktronic A4000 full size tower case. Used to rehouse a standard A4KD. Just the case (no busboard) but would be easy to convert to use a mediator board. Has most (if not all) of the fittings but would need a little wiring work to hook up a psu. Ideal for a project. - Taken, Posted.

2 - 8 x 30pin memory simms. Not sure if these are 1mb or 4mb, but should be ideal for any older memory expansions. Untested. - Taken, Posted.

3 - 8 x Goldstar chips, labelled GM71C4256A-70. Believe these were actually cache ram chips from an old pc board, but should work in A500 memory expansions? Untested. - Taken, Posted.

4 - Xcopy professional original disk with "cyclone" hardware. - Taken, Posted.

6 - Multiface 3 zorro card, with disk and manual. Worked fine when last used, but that was a few years ago now. Taken, Posted.

7 - 3dfx voodoo 5500 (?) pci gfx card - the one with the twin chips. Seems to work when a quick test was done in a pc. - Taken, Posted.

8 - 3dfx voodoo 2000 (or 3000?) pci gfx card. Used it a couple of years back on a mediator board. - Taken, Posted.

9 - Catweasel Z2 & buddha zorro board. This is a non flash version of the Zorro Buddha ide controller board with a stock catweasel card installed on it. In theory you could use the later on any amiga. With manuals, drivers disks etc. - Taken, Posted.

10 - Clarity 16, external 16 bit sound sampler/player that connects via the parallel port. Also has midi ports. Boxed with all disk and manuals. - Taken, Posted.

and non amiga related - 2 x 12MB voodoo2 3d pci add on cards for pc. (The original SLI setup!) - maybe of use for some retro pc gaming? - Taken, Posted.

I have an original Voodoo 1 as well, and a PowerVR board. - Taken, Posted.

Items have been stored in anti static bags etc, and in generally good condition. Pics available on request.

Ok, PM send regarding the goldstar chips. Considered as sold.

Not sure on the MFIII and catweasel. One interested asking for pics, another definite - although the email notification I was sent for the former only listed the Xcopy and cyclone.. :blink:

Will need to have a scan through the regs (or get a mods opinion :help:) while I sort out some pics.

Interesting in 3dfx voodoo 5500 (?) pci gfx card.
May I have some pictures of the card and an estimate about the p&p to France.

i'm sorry if it looks like i'm queue jumping, it was not my intension, when i posted my interest, Phantoms post just declared interest in the x-copy and cyclone, yet now it states interest in the same items as me, but it also doesn't say that his post was edited so i don't know what is going on there?
of course i don't want to break any rules so i'm more than happy to go with any mod ruling.

I do have the VGA pass through cable, as well as the sli link ribbon cable that goes between the two.

Just to clarify - the Clarity 16 isn't ahi compatible. The software takes over the system to play back 16 bit samples (hence disabling multitasking) so its only useable with the 16 bit sampling and playback software it comes with.

It connects to the amiga via parallel and serial ports (using two long ribbon cables) to a wedge shaped plastic box with audio in and out. It also has a couple of midi connections too.

Just wanted to clarify that as it's what the previous person who voiced an interest was expecting.

The 30 pin dimms are as expected though. :p Let me know if you still want both and we can discuss postage.

I believe the midi ports work the same as any other serial port connected midi ports - i.e. no special software to run those.

OK, I guess I can take the powerVR/voodoo1 cards then , it is too hursh of you ppl leaving them all alone and cold :P

Understood :) That's what I expected it to do having used similar samplers in the past. Having standard CAMD MIDI in the same box would be useful to me too - I also take it at least the 8bit sampling functionality should work from within trackers like ProTracker etc.? Usually this is the case with parallel port samplers.

I'm currently awaiting Phantoms reply on whether he still wants the XCopy. If not there is a queue afterwards, as a few people have expressed an interest in it.

Ok, quick update. Everything I have arranged delivery for so far has just been sent. Was fighting through the queue of people renewing their car tax at the post office. :ninja: :D

XCopy & Cyclone - awaiting confirmation on whether this is still required by JuvUK. If not then I believe it's Tiffers next in line, then Woodycool.

Will try and sort out pictures of the A4k tower tonight. It's a full sized tower, so it's big - would prefer collection if possible on this 'cos it's going to be be some effort to pack it up securely and get it down the post office. :D

Will also discuss postage on Voodoo 1 and Power VR cards via PM.

Well - not sure on the 8 bit sampling thing. It has 16 bit ADC's and DAC's inside, but the parallel port is only 8 bit. Don't know whether it works in 8 bit through the "normal" sampling utils.

However, you could in theory record audio in 16 bit through the supplied app, then use something like octamed (or other player app) which supports 16 bit sound files and either use a 16 bit sound card, or the 14 bit paula AHI driver - I think that's right anyway. :unsure:

I'll just suck it and see :p Either way, it will get me recorded IFFs onto a disk and that's good enough for me :) Anything extra is just cool.

I have an A4000 with a AHI sound card but I wanted something more oldschool and portable for my wedge Amigas, so this will do just fine :) According to BBoAH it will sample in 8bit, 16bit, mono and stereo, so that sounds ideal.

I'll give it a shot! :D

You are somewhat far away from me. ;) This would require a large box to post (or excessive amounts of bubblewrap) and I wouldn't like to think what would likley happen to it during transit...

...however, if you are willing to risk it we can discuss p&p via pm.

be careful here guys! just look at my photo album to see what can happen to a4k cases in transit :nod:

I suspect the best option is going to be a courier pick-up. I have no transport of my own, so there's no way I could collect it. It'd need to be boxed, measured and weighed, and I'd need to fix a convenient day that you'd be at home for collection.
