Had a strange issue with mine (strange to me anyway). Installed in both an A500 plus and and standard A500, both with a 2.05 ROM from an A600. Both machines booted from HD and both "sort of" worked, but were unstable.
Random patterns would appear on-screen just when navigating WB. I even created a new HD using the Amiga and 2.05 WB Floppies - and just navigating again was unstable.
I suspected the expansion, as BOTH Amis worked with a GVP HD. But then, the RAM test always worked.
The solution ? I swapped out the ROM for a 3.1 version - result - no further issues. Maybe the IDE libraries in the 3.1 ROM are different ? I have no idea.
Anyone else had similar issues ?
Mine worked fine with a 37.350 ROM in an A500+. Later, I used SKick to softkick it to 3.1. Also worked fine.
