Arnie, This thread has nothing to do with the Vampire thread which is up to thread #53. This thread is a different entity, i have your order slated to go this weekend if you are still interested. I am trying to get everything done as quickly as possible. As you could probably imagine, these boards take time to build and test so time is of a premium. I could have elected to get these assembled in a board house but that would have increased the cost by about $25 each (factoring cost, increased value at customs, extra delivery costs etc.

The orders i am receiving for this board are all completed on time basis, using FIFO system. Please don't forget that i am receiving orders from other places besides Amibay.

Time for a bit of news. I now have new version boards that have the missing trace back in, - No wire jumper)....

options for people are new

- board $74 + $4 for CPU adapter
- board with jumper wire AND CPU adapter is $74


I plan on having 10 more boards ready for mailing this week. One more thing, when i send out pms for people who have declared interest i have to wait for a response, A lot of people have not responded to my PM's so i have to hold their board for a few days to see if they respond before moving down the list.

Kipper, you are doing a fantastic job with these boards and the Vampire boards. Keep up the good work. I have been holding off declaring interest in both, just too many other projects on the go at the moment. No doubt I will catch up with stuff over the holidays, just remember to have a bit of a break yourself... :drinkin:

Maybe it would be a good idea to make a list in post #1 with all the names on the list, and then update it as you go through it. That way there will be NO confusion as to weather a person have been noticed & included on the waiting list, and as to where you/they are on the list.

for those interested, the approx time to build for these boards are as follows, assuming that once built they work first time

Vampire 1 hour. (if there's a bug, it can take a few hours to find)
a508/IDE - 50 minutes
a608 - 70 minutes
CF IDE boards - 15 minutes

I am still behind on some SVideo boards. so if anyone is interested in a kit rather than prebuilt svideo boards i am willing to sell the parts. It is not a difficult build. there is only one tiny Tsop that i can presolder for those that want. (it controls the LED for PAL/NTSC indication, not even needed )

Interest withdrawn for now.

It's a very good kit, but after well over a month of waiting, I still have no idea where I'm in the queue, and when would my board be delivered.

I might buy one later when things slow down for kipper2k.

The problem with a public list is that there are people that do not want to be identified who have emailed me. I don't think Amigakit or Jens would publish a list. I will say i have received over 125 preorders and i am working through it. I do not buy all the parts at once as i get quite a few cancellations of interest and i can get stuck with left over parts.

What i can do is to start updating the thread once i send out a batch is to identify the dates of all preorders completed, that way if i forget someone (which i probably will) they can send me an email saying i missed them and I will sort them there and then.. I really hate administration, it can take the entire day to keep it pretty so i rely on people to nudge me every now and again, thats fine.

I think people would be satisfied with just some updates as to how far you have made it through this thread (as I assume they will be dealt with in order), well aware that there may be lots of orders from other places. That would give people an idea whether they are just coming up on the list or have 3 more months of waiting. :)

I doubt anyone on this thread at Amibay would not want to identified. As for the other (email or whatever) orders you could just list them as "External Order #15" or similar, this way Amibayers would see how many boards down the list they are.

Nobody likes administration but you only need to do this once, and then it helps you as well to know your queue. Then you just add people as they post on this thread. I mean you are semi-pro at this so I think it's fair to expect that you give at least a delivery estimate. And it's a bit unfair to expect people check weather they've been missed in the list since they don't even know where they are.

We are all (including me) grateful you are making these wonderful hw for us, all is needed is a simple list to know if someone is No. 5 or No. 120 in the queue..

People just need to be patient or just not declare interest at all :thumbsdown:

We should be happy he is doing this for us, the same goes for others who develop and make stuff for us in their free time, :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: to Kipper and everyone else who develop stuff for us.

Ferrari, nope, i just bought me a helicopter... radio controlled, battery operated, $99 at Futureshop, now all i need is a GOPro camera so i can terrorize all the ladies at night in their bathrooms, or a trip down to Area51 ... hmmm, tough choice :)

I think most of are patient, and appreciative of the work Kipper2k is putting in to this. Don't turn it around like that please.

But from the looks of it, a lot of users keep asking where and when it is their turn, understandably enough. A small list, like it looks like Kipper is now doing was only a suggestion. Also as TbTorro says, anons can be "External Order #15".
And this list would also help Kipper keep track of the line.

I have updated post 1 to show the list, the list contains names in order of priority. I expect to get 20 done this weekend, if you've ordered a Vampire i will not be doing any more this weekend, i am still waiting for people to get back to me. (i still have some ready to mail)

(there are some names missing from the list here and there as they never ordered through a forum, and the names on the list reflect names from different forums

If i have missed your name, then it is probably a newer request or i simply forgot you, send me an email and i will insert you into the list where you belong so don't worry if i don't get back to you in a pm as i'll fix it

mate, keep up the good work. for something you do probably in your spare time, and having just moved house as well you're doing a top job - thanks muchly.

I think the list is a great idea, but I don't se y name on the list.

Btw it was never about the delivery time, we all know kipper2k is only one person and things take time. It was about knowing (an estimate) of delivery time. And an order list just does that fine now.

I intend on sending out PM's for the IDE boards tomorrow, i expect about 20 - 25 being done so check the list on post 1 to see if you are there. I also have some Vampires that are still unclaimed from the last batch so i will move down the list for those.

I am going to ship out the latest batch of Mem/IDE boards that do not need the wire jumper so these ones will be $74 + $4 for the CPU adapter. I still have some with the jumper wire available that i will sell with the CPU adapter for $74. first come first served.

I'll mail them out as soon as i receive payment.

I got the package yesterday. I also give you a good feedback.

Hi,

there is info about the CDTV in this thread (or my other a500 fastmem board without the IDE).

basically you boot into the cdtv and use the add fastmem command to add ram. The CPLD code for the CDTV is different than the a500 etc as it will not auto config

I think I wanted 3 (can you confirm). Also will the cdtv versions work fine in an amiga 500? (does it do the autoconfig ram for the A500 or will it need to be loaded).
