Whats Included?
Other than what you see here, the graphics adapter comes with the original manual and the following driver disks
Retina 1.4 Drivers
EGS drivers
AGA suppliment Drivers
you can also download these disks form here
The Ugly Duckling
Its a shame that the Retina Z2 gets shunned as there is no Picasso96 drivers for it (P96 doesn't support segmented memory), but I have found Retina/EGS drivers perfectly fine and you can use mode promotion tools for custom screens (the same as under P96)
I will say that setting up the Retina Z2 is a little harder to setup compared to P96 compliant device, as you have to setup a Monitor Definition first, (this is explained in the manual) however this is no harder than setting up CGX 3 or higher to be honest.
Some programs (like "Imagine Ray-tracing" program have direct support for this card)
I have also read that on amiga.org that there is a CGX driver for this card, some where out in the wild...
Is this card for you?
Its a classic (cheap) adapter and would suit an A2000 or A1200 with a Zorro 2 Bus, it will give you an RTG card that is suited for desktop applications and (chunky data) based games (like DooM).
A hill of beans
Not looking for much - this little bit of history can be yours for the princely sum of £35 + pnp
