Towered A4000D plus some extras
Do to fellow Amibayer, I'm now the proud owner of an A4000T so it's time to sell off A4000D gear. I have an A4000D in an Elbox Mirage tower with the specs and items listed below.
- A3640 cpu
- 2MB chip ram and 16MB fast ram
- 3.1 kickstart roms
- Socketed buster 11
- Coin cell battery holder with diode to keep it from charging. The original battery was removed before damaging the RTC. I cleaned up the nearby traces and added some circuit sealer just to be safe.
- Individual AGA scandoubler/flickerfixer
- Mediator busboard with buscard
- Voodoo 5500
- Soundblaster pci sound card
- PCI ethernet card
- 20GB hdd with a fresh OS3.9 installed to a 200MB partition. The remaining space is left unpartitioned so the buyer can set it up how they like.
- Lite-On CDRW Drive
- Zip250 drive*
- A4000D keyboard
- 3 button Amiga mouse. This may be faulty as it has trouble with moving up and down. It sort of stutters. I'm not sure if this is do to the mouse or bad caps. I've used a PSX controller, with an adapter to use it as a mouse, and that seems to work fine leading me to believe it's just a problem with the mouse.
- OS3.9 CD purchased from Software Hut
- Cybergrafx 4 (I had doubles so I'm just throwing one in with this.)
- Mediator driver disk. (I didn't reinstall the mediator drivers since the buyer's monitor probably wouldn't like the custom timings I had to use. I also deleted the update needed for the Voodoo when I wiped the drive.) The buyer shouldn't have any problems reregistering with Elbox to get the latest updates since both the needed serials are intact. Elbox is pretty decent about second hand users.
- 6 month old DD floppy drive from amigakit.com
I was just planning to have the caps changed on the motherboard before purchasing the A4000T so you'll probably want to have that done soon. There is a small crack on the top right front bezel of the tower that I've circled in one of the pics below. Please ignore my horrible wire routing skills and picture taking abilities in the following pics.
*The zip drive is currently disconnected because I used the ide splitter that I was using in this tower on my new Amiga. I just left the zip drive in since I rarely use it anymore.
I also have some spare part that I've listed towards the end of the pics.

*Sold ^This is a spare A4000D motherboard that I had repaired by Anthony Hoffman last August. It had the leaking caps replaced, RTC repaired, and some traces on the memory bus repaired. I still have the invoice if any perspective buyers want to see it. This has 3.0 roms, a socketed Buster 11, and 2MB chip ram/16MB fast ram installed.

^this is an Elbox ISA/ZorroIII busboard that I used before the Mediator that I'm including since I won't be needing it.
$150+ shipping to anywhere for the spare mobo and $500 with free shipping to the US for the tower, spare busboard, and software. I will ship the tower to other countries if the buyer covers shipping. Everything works as of my writing this but do to the age of the hardware I can't make any guarantees. Also, keep in mind that it's pretty much a given that any buyer is going to have to reseat stuff on arrival.;) If there's anything I've forgotten or any questions, just ask. I forgot to add that I also have the mediator manual, I just forgot to get a pic of it.
