Amiga 4000D 68040 @ 25 with 16 MB of RAM and 8 GB HD

I am selling a mint condition Amiga 4000D a stock version that holds 16 MB of RAM and 2 MB CHIP RAM. It is a 040 @ 25 Mhz with 8 GB HD (I think) and a full functioning CD-ROM player. With this auction it will including the following:

1) A working Amiga 4000D
2) Keyboard
3) Floppy disks
4) Serial cable (for transfer between PC and Amiga)

One of the floppy disks also holds workbench 1.3 which have AExplorer on it. Upon selling this computer to you it will be formatted completely so that there will be no copy OS 3.9 installed in the HD. I am selling this entire thing for just $500 Canadian+shipping and handling. Couple of things you should know about this Amiga 4000D:

When I purchased it from AmiBay the keyboard is a little defective...if you move the back port a little it will cause your Amiga 4000D to freeze and go gray screen. You need to get a better keyboard than the one this comes in...but if you wiggle it a little bit it should work again. Just make sure you do not play with it on the back or move the keyboard too much or you need to wiggle the keyboard (on the back) again to get it working again. You are buying this computer with the warning I have placed for you here. Another warning you need to know is that I spend 50 bucks to have FANS installed in it...if you hate the sound of fan you need to remove them before using them!

Just giving you a heads up here about the condition of this system. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Other than that the system works 100% with no problem.

Concerning shipping and handling you need to be willing to cough up good money for it, especially if you live outer sea. The computer itself is pretty heavy, plus you are getting it with the disks so all of this may make shipping and handling for international over 140 dollars and for Canadian or USA resident it could come to 140 dollars too! 140 dollars is a guessing number but I am giving you an idea that you will be paying decent money for shipping and handling and if you want the item to arrive in one day you will be coughing 400+ dollars for shipping and handling! All warning here before you start clicking on bidding!

With the PSU showing a bit worse for wear, could you post some internal pictures (battery area), ShowConfig and SysInfo pictures?

Can you check postage for UK? Also is it PAL or NTSC machine?

A4000 all have PAL/NTSC jumper but check PSU can be switched to UK voltage.

Shipping from Canada to UK is notoriously expensive though and on top of that you will probably pay import taxes. It might be better to try and find one locally.

I would like to answer your questions completely:

A) The PSU is working in mint condition, the guy modified it so it have an internal switch between 110V/220V instead of just 110V. I turn the Amiga 4000D everyday for hours and there is nothing wrong with it or the PSU. However, it is advisable if you wish to do major upgrades with this system to get a brand new fresh power supply just because of age if nothing else. In terms of showing you the configuration and such as ShowConfig and SysInfo...I will post an update right now. Give me 10 minutes to put the pictures for you here. OH SORRY! I forgot to mention that when I ordered this, I asked that the battery be removed completely. Your Amiga 4000D is neutered, congratulation :D

2) Can you check postage for UK? Also is it PAL or NTSC machine?
A) The Amiga 4000D have a build in it a NTSC/PAL jumper so you can switch it to whatever region you want. Concerning the PSU, it have a switch on the back being modified to allow the machine to work in any region in the world. As for shipping and handling if you order it from here and you live in the UK I am willing to deduct $50 from the price of the machine so it goes for $350 and the difference of that $50 will go for shipping and handling. But according to fitzsteve, indeed shipping from Canada to UK is going to cost you a big deal of money. It is advisable to order it locally. If you take my offer however, it will go for $350 for you if you live in the UK and the $50 of the $400 will go to shipping and handling so assuming it may cost say $200 shipping and handling for example, it will instead go for $150 because you saved on $50 on the price of the machine. HOWEVER, people who live in Canada or USA they will have to pay the final price of $400 dollars...I am just making it easy for over seas international people that is all, because I understand the price of shipping and handling is huge to ship from Canada to there.
