Amiga 4000D 3D Printed Drive Bay Covers

Hey everyone,

I finally got around to creating a 3D Printed Floppy Bay Cover for the Amiga 4000D. This is the smaller cover that is used with the large version of the HD floppy drive.

My first print is a bit rough so I need to play around with my slicing software to clean it up. I'll upload the Sketchup and STL files soon for anyone who wants them. I'm also going to make the standard size floppy cover and the 5.25" bay cover too. :)

I'm still learning to use Sketchup. Even so, it only took me about an hour to build the object. I think that I'll be able to easily modify this one to make the other floppy plate. :thumbsup:

I'll be happy to build the objects. I have an A500 and A1200, but I sold my A600 quite a while ago. :( Perhaps someone else can help with that.

Yep! We purchased one at work, so I have total access whenever I need to print something. It's still a lot of trial and error when it comes to getting the prints exactly right, but all it is costing me is the ABS material, which is cheap if you have the printer.

I'll probably do the next one tomorrow even and post when it is ready. Tomorrow I will upload the files for the one above to Thingiverse and post links here.
