Various items I collected for A1200 CD-ROM project (job lot)
Scaling down more of my Amiga bits, this is a project I am never really going to see through. I did get OS 3.5 installed on my machine, but I do not have the tools or skills to start cutting up my only A1200 to fit a CD Drive properly inside and it can not just live outside as a mess of cables!
Here is what is in the lot.
One TEAC CD-224E Cd-rom drive.
2 adapters that connect to the drive to allow a IDE connection ( the mini style) These can take power from a small adapter like the one used on the floppy disk drive.
1 short IDE cable
a longer IDE cable with which has one larger connector splitting to two smaller ones
one PCB DCE CD ROM ADAPTER ver 2.0 (and cable). This basically splits the single IDE connector in the Amiga to two connections. I used to use this but it seemed very fiddly to get to work, it would take many times messing with the cables.
and finally one power computing power flyer fast EIDE controller. I was not very confident removing my ROMs and tying everything down so never used this. I purchased it as working though.
