Amiga 4000 hd

hello Looking for a prepped hd at lest 40 gb and plug n play IE all configured to run cd rom drive let me know how much with P&p don't need please close post :)

For anyone to be able to do this they must supply you with the original discs to be able to pre-install a HD for you.

Or you loan them your discs to do the installation.

You need to setup the cdrom your end, it depends on model, etc so difficult for that to be setup before hand.

I might be able to help you in about a weeks time but I have too much on at the moment.

mate it is really simple ... you need to install 3.1 on your cf card you can use winuae and there you have to install idefix 97 after , put this cf in amiga 4000 and in the idefix you have to run "find cd" when it find it will mount the cdrom and create the cd0 dev.
After put the 3.9 cdrom in the amiga 4000 and start the installation over the 3.1 :) you will need about 20 min to do everything

I had one last night running on 3.1 then I updated to 3.9 then got idefix 97 but it was a demo off aminet so had to start over :(

yes... but the important is have the cdrom on 3.1 working, after you have to install the cachecdfs from the amigaos 3.9 that is not time limited

If you own Cloanto's Amiga Forever CD and would not mind mailing it, someone can use it and AmiKit or AmigaSYS to make you a HDD that would both be able to access your CDROM and have a near OS3.9 installation.

It's really easy to find a reg key for IDEFix97, Google is your friend ;)
