ACA1230/56 Accelarator for A1200 (56mhz Full 68030)

Hi All,

I’ve seen something I want to buy and need to raise some funds, this is my least used Amiga item at the moment so I’m letting go.

The ACA1230/56 is the fastest A1200 030 Accelerator out there; with the ACATune enhancements you’re looking at 12.5mips so you’re not far off 040 territory (which is 18Mips @25mhz) but keeping 030 compatibility!

It comes fully boxed in perfect condition. It has a Full 68030 clocked at 56mhz and 64mb Ram (63+1 for Maprom)

The ACA1230 is quite a fickle beast; you may well need timing fixes on your A1200 and a good strong PSU/Re-capping is recommended.

I have been using this on my ACA500 although Jen’s has sid it’s not officially supported, I had to roll back to the earliest firmware to get it working (latter firmware has no Fast Ram from the ACA1230) maybe Jens will fix this in the next Firmware but I can’t offer any guarantees it will work with your A500/ACA500 setup.

Asking price is £175 which includes UK postage (tracked & insured next day delivery) for EU please add £7.50 for tracked/insured and outside EU will be approx £10 extra but I will need to double check as some countries might be more.

It was written by Fitzesteve :"64mb Ram (63+1 for Maprom)"

You have a total of 64MB of Ram present on this board no extension is possible, 1MB will be eaten if you use the Maprom function (loading the kickstart rom into the Ram).

I have this card and it's a beauty, the fastiest 68030 card for A1200 not only by it's 6 extra Mghz but by the accessing speed to its 64MB RAM.
