Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Hi,

Pause function added in the pause-func branch in Github, have a go and let me know what you think.
The SELECT key toggles between pause / play and a 'P' is displayed where the motor status usually is when paused.
This is an interim feature that may or may not make it into master as proper seek support would probably make it irrelevant.

I have spent a total of about 1'30" testing this :) YMMV

Any oled using the SSD1306 and SSD131X chipsets should be okay. I would suggest a 16x2 oled as that has the closest form factor to the normal LCD and a really nice display. If you want to use a display that is not supported, you can donate some cash to me and I'll buy it and take a look, though no guarantees (this is how Ozay got support in for his preferred device)

Also the display interface MUST support I2C and be 5v tolerant.

how do I compile / upload the firmware? ...

Error compiling.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
enabled in File > Preferences.

edit ... Done it , I didn't define both lines :-)

with the Arduino software package

other solutions like avr_dude are also possible but this is the easiest.

I think @mjnurney was getting stumped by the new config-user.h and the #define uncommenting which he seems to have sorted.

I was , It kept saying config user h missing file or directory.

I shouted at the screen , it's there ! I can see it but it ignored me

I didn't realise it created its own folder , oh well all good now and working great.

the percent meter is a great feature
