A2000HD

Hello. Funds have come down to the wire here with me out of work for all this stupid medical testing and prodding. I need to make the money to pay for my Car insurance, so I am posting this here with hopes of selling it. The price on this is firm as I need specifically this amount to pay my car payment.

For sale is my A2000HD with the following specifications.
Kickstart 3.1
Amiga OS 3.5 (can be downgraded to 3.1)
Buddha Flash Phoenix card
2.1 GB IDE Hard disk
16x DVD-ROM
880K Floppy
Commodore A2630 at 25Mhz with 4MB RAM
Supra RAM card with 6MB RAM installed
1 Meg Chip Ram
Revision 6.3 Motherboard
I believe the battery has been removed.
Everything in the Machine is set to NTSC, but the machine boots PAL, weird.
New Style Mouse
No Keyboard, but I will get one to ship with it.

The price I need is 250 USD and shipping is extra. I do have a monitor as well for it an old 1084S-D1 with all the cables, but that is separate due to weight. I will post pictures if buyer is interested in the A2000HD. See below for more information. Please note: Before people get angry about the OS 2.1 Disks shown, these and the 2.04 Kickstart were sold to me as a set from Software Hut. They were made by software hut and not me. I am including them because I am also including the 2.04 and the 1.3 ROM. Also included is the original A2091 card that came with it, the 2088 Card with installation disk, and the 5 1/4 Floppy that came with it. The 2091 card never came with software. Also comes with the original box that the buddha came with, and installations software, and instructions. I really don't want to sell this but I need the money for my car payment by the end of the month. Please look and wish me luck.

Bump. I am willing to look at offers. I need to do something. One of our cats got an eye infection and had to go to the vet. So I need to move on this if I can. I can include the monitor as well, as long as the shipping is covered. Please take a look.

This really is a wonderful system and I wish I had need of it. I hope you sell it soon!

I wish I could afford to get this system as well. Sadly, the expense of putting out my CD release has taken most of my discretionary spending money for the moment. Nice setup to have though. If you decide to sell the A2091 separately, I might be interested in that to use with my A1000 and a Zorro adapter. I hope your situation improves.

Ed has several A2091 cards that don't have machines if you want one I will ask him about one. His will have newer ROMs than mine. Mine has the oldest ROMs that the card can have I think.

I might have some interest in the whole thing if it would boot NTSC. What do you suppose is the problem with it?

I don't know it runs in NTSC. That is what I have it set to for at the workbench, it is just detected as PAL. I will take a closer look at the motherboard here and see. It should be NTSC completely as everything in it is NTSC, at least it should be.

All the chips, the crystal, they are all NTSC specific. But the machine boots to PAL. This is great for those of us who have lots of PAL software, but it if you want to boot NTSC software from disk, I don't know if that would be a problem. The machine is set to run in NTSC mode when you boot into the operating system. I just have no clue why it defaults to PAL at boot. It is the weirdest thing I have seen. It must be something on this motherboard that replaced my motherboard that died.

Essentially, this A2000HD is a machine that will run both modes, I guess. Oh and I was wrong on the hard drive size. It's 4.3 Gigabytes, set at 2 partitions: 1 by 1.3 GB and the other by 3GB. I have larger hard drives if they are wanted. I just never saw a reason.

It's just a matter of re-route the pin #41 of Agnus to +5V (via a 4k7 resistor) and undo the short to ground to the pin to establish the machine back to NTSC.

Or check in the DEVS/DOSdrivers for a PAL monitor driver.

No, it has the PAL monitor driver in the event I want to run some PAL software. What is happening is that the machine boots in PAL mode, even though all the chips and the crystal are NTSC. It doesn't appear to have a pin re-route on the Agnus at all. That is what is so weird.

Broken track outside pin #41 of the Agnus, then. Or fried/rotten solder on the resistor.
