Classic WB 3.5 Slow and Freezing
Now that I have added 3.1 ROMS and have found a monitor driver that supports hi res natively I wanted to give WB 3.5 a go, and decided to use Classic WB as I like the extras. I have installed it and all seems well, however Workbench is suffering from random slow downs and freezing. Sometimes it works fine at full speed, no issues scrolling windows etc or opening new ones. But then I try to open a window and it 'draws' it out really slowly, it sometimes takes a minute or so! It also sometimes freezes completely and I have to reboot. Games through WHDLoad run fine.
I thought there were two likely culprits - my high res screenmode and the copper background which I assume uses memory. But I have disabled both (returned screenmode to normal 640 x 240) and it is still doing it. Surely an 030/25 A4000 with 16MB RAM should be able to handle WB 3.5 just fine if it runs on A1200s? Also it runs smoothly sometimes so the inconsistency makes me think it can't be a memory or processor issue.
What else could be causing these slow downs and freezing?

By the way it's probably worth mentioning that I did the install to a CF card through UAE, and then on my real Amiga booted from floppy, formatted my IDE HD and then used Dopus to copy the system files across. Could that be a problem, file system or something?
