Hi All
I am trying to flash my GOTEK drive following this guide

When I connect the GOTEK to my PC its recognised and I select the corresponding com port (I have no lights on the device tho). Load up the 'Flash Loader Demo' and select the correcet com port and hit next.
After a short while I get this message

I have tried resetting (connecting both reset pins to ground) but nothing changes.
Any ideas?
What OS and flash device are you using?
Try windows XP if you have it, I found the device drivers don't like 8, also I had to do the reset mentioned in the instructions for it to see the gotek
I am using Windows 7, OK let me try XP
Also be persistent - it frequently takes a dozen or more attempts before it works for me, even on XP. Once it goes, it's reliable, though.Quote:

Does the 000 lights have to be displayed on the front
yes,you might find putting the the loop jumper(Boot0) on after you have put the USB cable in sometimes brings up the 000
And make sure the TX .RX are crossed over to gotek TX-RX, RX-TX
If it askes to reset the device just remove the red power lead and reconnect it thats all i do also you can use xpmode in windows 7

your device is definately seen and installed correctly ? can you tell us what TTL device you are using, and are the connection pins soldered to the gotek board, if it makes it any better I struggled like you to flash my first gotek :(
