As you may have seen i have recently sold a few of the 040-060 adapter kits that allow you to put a 060 processor into amiga accelerators with 040 chips.

I have so far made two batches and i am now making a 3rd and final batch:

I HAVE CREATED THIS SEPARATE THREAD AS THE FIRST HAS BECOME VERY BLOATED


This is the New version of the board that has been discussed at http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...ne-68060-80mhz, and was designed and built on the a1k forum.

This board allows you to add a 68060 CPU to a 68040 socket. AKA the amiga a3640 and the warpengine (and a few others am sure)

A couple of people are selling the PCB's here on AMIBAY, however this is for a complete kit that includes all PCB's, components and assembly instructions.

Anyone who has looked into this will know that a few of the components are either very hard to source or very expensive.

Will this work on a FusionForty?

In theory this works with anything with an 040 cpu
Depending on which 060 cpu you use will also affect results as certain cpu's require rom modifications or library changes. It's a little more than just plug n play, I suggest you read the posts on the A1K forum for more answers. Thanks

This information seems to be scattered about, so I am having trouble finding if anyone has installed this on any of the Amiga 2000 PPS Progressive Peripheral & Software Accelerators the Zieus or A2000 040

Is it likely to work?

Does the the card use a 040 cpu?
If it does then the hardware will fit
Does the card have an onboard ROM?
If it has custom rom on the accelerator that maybe maps itself on power on or boot then there's a chance it won't work

i don't have those cards so maybe someone else has one to test???
just had a look at http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.co...ct.aspx?id=202
and it just looks like a standard 040 accelerator. So good chance it could work
But again I don't have one to actually test it

What was the conclusion about sourcing a thinner voltage regulator? Or is everyone using an extra layer of pin-strips?
