Hey guys, I just can't win with this A3000! It fights me at every step of the way. Now whenever I try to run a Warp3D PPC app it crashes with a ramlib PPC error. I installed the Ramlib patch into my startup sequence but it didn't solve the issue. I've seen some posts on the subject but they don't seem to offer a conclusive answer. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I really need help with this guys. Is there no one out there with experience with this problem? Do I need to do a clean install and install things in a certain order like I've heard suggested? My configuration is:
Amiga 3000
CyberStormPPC 060-50/604e-200
CyberVisionPPC
9.1GB HD on the CyberStorm SCSI controller
KS3.1
OS3.9 (no BoingBags yet)
Latest 060 libs, not sure if I have latest PPC libs
CyberGraphX 4 RC6
KickflashOS4 installed but not setup
Delfina Flipper installed but not setup
Can anyone help? Please...?

No, this problem is nothing that MCPramlibpatch can solve. The problem
actually is, that the latest FlashROM installs a certain OS-patch, that only
works if ppc.library can be opened, and crashes, if it can't. If WarpOS is
active, ppc.library can NEVER be opened.
To fix it, use the new powerpc.library enclosed in the 3.1 Update *and*
set the env-variable
env:powerpc/TERMINATOR to the value 2 !!! This is important, without it it
won't work !!! (This disables the above mentioned OS-patch again...).
Do for example:
echo >env:powerpc/TERMINATOR "2"
echo >envarc:powerpc/TERMINATOR "2"
You only have to do this once.
Note:
If you start ppc.library applications in your startup (like CGX PPC or
ppc.library datatypes or ElfLoadSeg or PPCInstall or RC5-PPC) then this might
NOT WORK !!! You should better remove this applications from your startup.

Okay, this is a kludge, the only real fix would be if Phase 5 removed the
Anti-WarpOS-Code from the FlashROM. But they seem not to want to do this. So
set the env-variables, and it should work :)

Error-correction and detail improvements
The release 2 caused problems on some systems, which are due to the extreme little stack of the RAMLIB. This problem is fixed now, therefore WarpOS now also runs on systems, which had this problem.
It has to be mentioned, that the "powerpc.library" V7 has also profited from these changes and should run now even better. The V7.2 is included in the actual WarpUP package.
Besides an error was corrected, which was responsible for the problems which appeared when WarpOS functions tried to allocate huge memory blocks. This was obvious in the *STORM-MESA* demos if you enlarged the window.
When creating PPC-mirror-tasks, in the case that the 68k-task is a CLI-background-task, the name of the started program is taken for the name of the PPC-task, instead of the process name. This leads to the situation, that the WarpOS-tasks are easier locatable in the task-statistics, because the name of the started program is contained. This only works, if the programs are started with "run".

So I just have to copy the new powerpc.library to my lib: and then set those vars and all should be good? Or do I have to rename powerpc.library to ppc.library?

I tried those directions. Now I have a different problem. Now when I click on gears_ppc, nothing happens. I can see a small reduction in chip memory, but nothing comes up. What should I do now?

Sorry I have no experience with OS 4.1, PPC based Amigas.
Are you able to get a barebone A3000 config without any extras...PPC hardware...etc to run first OS 3.1 or OS 3.9?
I set up http://classicwb.abime.net/ up on a CF card via WinUAE/PC first for my A3000.
yeah I have no idea either... I had 2 A4000 with 2 CSPPC's and nevergave me troubles... just installed 3.9 + BB1 + BB2 , the warpOS/warp3D updates and I was good to go...

Yep me too, after setting a basic 3.1, upgraded to 3.9, then BB packs. Then I made backup copies and used it as base for extra hardware and software tweak upgrades. If weird stuff happens I go back to the base config that I know works for troubleshooting.
I will post back soon with version numbers and locations of all my 68k, PowerPC, WarpUP and Warp3D libraries as well as configuration settings if you like.
I have a CSPPC with G-Rex, and everything works just fine. I also use the PowerUP emulator library that allows the older PowerUP binaries to run on top of WarpOS.
My configuration hasn't changed much at all since I switched from a CVPPC to G-Rex/Voodoo3 so it should help.
