Vampire 600 V2 - Amiga 600 FPGA accelerator Pre-order

Just to say hello :) And quick update, latest core runs test demos, sometimes boot workbench but still is not stable, there is some minor bug we are investigating. In next few days I will probably test HDMI, regarding hardware part. For month or so I m waiting for HDMI connectors to arrive and this really delayed that part of test. Demo we started was first in chip ram then another version for FastRam and that proved that each controller works but this time SDRAM was at 158MHz or so :) Also, board will be redesigned once more because there are few things done better this time so we will save power consumption even more.

@ahoj I dont think the testing of the HDMI part as such is very exciting at the moment. Im saying this because Its most likely about making sure its wired up correctly so that there are no hardware errors when the time comes and the FPGA is updated with a new core that has functions that will use the HDMI.

The exciting news will be to hear about the planned graphics core ;-)
Have not heard much really, but the Phoenix/Apollo team seem to have some nice ideas.

I'd like to see AAA implemented in an A600, or at least in an A1200, that would be wacky:)

I know, right?
However, what I heard about "Super AGA" or "SAGA" (which appropriately enough means "fairytale" in Swedish) is actually better than AAA. ;-)

The Amiga 600 is about to become the most exciting machine of the Amiga family to own... Lucky I have 8 of them. Lol

Anyhoo, from what I hear, A500 version should not be far behind. Other versions hopefully to follow in a not too distant future.
Im sure a 1200 version would be wildly popular but its probably a totally different design if its designed as a trapdoor expansion card. (Card could be bigger than the vampire 600v2 which is actually quite tiny. So it would be easier to add more memory etc..)
Majsta is doing a fantastic job optimizing the 600 design.
