I sent an e-mail to klipper2k via his website regarding the purchase of a Vampire2 but I had no answer, do you guys have another person to contact or do I have to wait till the orders reopen here ? Thx

This original thread was for pre-orders for a product that Majsta was doing. He wanted to check what kind of interest there was before doing a new production run. Then the project grew and more ppl got involved. Now, as I understand it, regular ordering is done from Kipper's site. But you should know he is currently a busy man and you need to give him a little time to reply.

Hi,
Just a quick note. As i think you can imagine i am swamped n order requests. I will reply to all when i get aa bit of time. Xmas is now over so i can get back in gear. Everyone will maintain their chronological place n the queue. The core is in process of being adapted to the final 128MB and the timing s being finalized. The P96 has progressed great and we jist need to get the timing done for the extra memory, it needs to be done before release or you will all yell at us :)
Now I am confused. I thought the boards had 64mb fast mem (as detailed in post 1) but now I see mention of 128mb on kipper2k's website and above.
Are the pre order boards 64mb and kippers 128mb. Not that it matters 64mb would seem to be a massive amount in an a600.
Craig.
Well the initial idea was actually to have 64MB. And indeed, the first round of boards all have 64MB, but these were only sent to developers and testers. During the design process and all the added features, it was decided that 128MB would give potential devs more headroom. A wise decision IMO, because once you put that Vampire into the A600, it will become something different. In fact, its a whole new platform. So all "retail" boards will come with 128MB RAM. As will future boards for the A500 and probably also the A1200 later this year.. (hope/speculation, because A1200 version will be more of a re-design than the A500 which is similar to the A600 version.)
Thanks for the clarification.
