Ok good, I didnt know this is the way it was going to be, prepay before production, I thought when you paid the cards were already produced, well i guess i have to wait a little longer then.

I'm in the same batch I think. Payed last week so just waiting for conformation when its sent...
Can I just ask people who already received a recent card...
1. Did it come pre-loaded with the latest core and SAGA drivers?
2. When I first install it in the A600 should I expect video out of the card straight away, or still on the RGB port until flashed SAGA?
Thanks
When i got my Vampire in August, it wasn't loaded with the latest core, it was loaded with the silver 6 core.
Saga Drivers you have to install after you installed the OS and Picasso96 ofcourse,
Before you have installed SAGA you'll have to use good old ECS from the RGB port.
Thanks Mr-Z. I'll keep it connected to the TV until flashed.
You should see the Apollo splash screen on the HDMI output when you turn it on (if the core is recent enough). This does not require any driver installation.
You still cannot use the HDMI output for ECS/AGA stuff, e.g. most games/WHDLoad. HDMI can only be used with P96 compatible software like WB and programs running in WB, so you should keep the RGB connection if you intend on using it for ECS/AGA stuff.
It should be possible to do and it is also planned to be implemented at some point, however it has not been completed yet. They need to implement the AGA chipset in the FPGA, and the question here is whether the FPGA is big enough to hold the SAGA implementation next to the Apollo core or if it will only be possible on later Vampire boards with bigger FPGAs than the 600 version. This is a feature I am looking forward to as well - even more than having an FPU.
Ok i'm up to speed now. That all makes sense.
Perhaps a compromise could be done for the Vampire v2 if not enough space. Like having ECS support from the HDMI rather than full AGA...
I agree that compatibility with Indi ECS (and its funky 256 colours mode), is more important to me if AGA can't be implemented due to lack of space in the FGPA...

Hi suave,
the first and last email I received from Brian was on the 8th of August. it was a test to check if the order tracking system was working.
So I think I'm somewhere in the queue but would be great to know there are still to weeks or months to wait.
Guys let me know if you have any clue :)
Kipper2K says on his site that the batches of cards are 100 cards/customers at a time. Looks about 3 - 4 weeks per batch.
http://www.kipper2k.com/updates.html
They are on batch 2 now and that's about all I can tell. If you didn't get an email asking for payment in batch 2 then you might not be in it...
perhaps next batch.
I've had an email about being allocated a unit in batch 2, you respond to the email with address details and then you should receive a payment request... although I sent my response the same day I've not had any payment request and that's over a week now so not sure if the system is working.
@comraider
He gave me tracking numbers but I didn't write it down :) he send you the card give it some more time.
Vampire has arrived from Majsta and working perfectly. MicroSD, SAGA and memory has been tested. ADoom 640x480, 30 fps :) Thanks Majsta and the whole team, you are incredible!
Cool. Standard or Black edition?
I'm getting excited for mine. hopefully it should be sent out soon in Batch 2.
I did the same as you about 3 to 4 weeks ago but there was no mention of batch 2 in my email, still waiting for a payment request but I expect that the team are doing their best to build what they can and send them off to the people who have already paid and will contact us when they are ready for the next batch. ;)
Woohoo !
It seems Santa Claus is in the neighborhood: a Vampire card has been allocated to you !
Next steps are :
Hi,
same for me here:
I've pre-ordered two Vampire 600 Cards (Black) on the 10.04.2016.
Then I've received an (Test) Email on the 08.08.2016 (I think for verifying Email addresses).
Finally I've received an Email on the 07.11.2016 that a Vampire 600 card is reserved for me and I responded on the Email like stated and asked then for 2 Vampire 600 (Black) and also for the PayPal answer so I can send the money.
Since then, nothing happened so far.
A couple of days I've answered again (because I've thought I've made something wrong) to the Email from the 07.11.2016.....still no feedback.
Maybe they are having teething problems with the outsource manufacturing side of things, I'm sure they will get in contact when things are sorted and ready for new PCBs and parts to be ordered.
From what I understand, which could very well be wrong, even IF the boards have been delivered from the assembler, there is a bunch of testing to verify that everything works. It sounds like a fairly comprehensive testing so it's probably not a 5 minute thing. Somewhere I read that there are still some components that are hand assembled by kipper2k but that might be out of date information since it's been a while since I read that.
Bit worried here. Paid on Sept 30th, was in batch 1 (I believe), last email was Nov 7th saying they should be shipped "next monday".
Since then... Nothing. I've dropped a couple of mails asking if it's on its way, but not had a response - understandable as he's busy! Is this just me, or are others in the same boat?

Ah, should have checked his website:
27th Nov ...*** Batch 1 is completed and they are boxed ready for labels. For those who wanted a black version, i cannot guarantee that a final x13 core will work as of yet so i will not ask for any extra payment from those who have requested a black (Batch 1 group). I will however send them a board that i have tested and believe are black capable. If they do turn out to be black capable then feel free to make a donation to my paypal, if not then so be it.
Ye, we are picking up with everything and after this mess there won't be any delays since we are organized differently now. You have some pictures on my site about those batches being done.
Awesome. Keep it up, dudes!
I received a payment email on 8th of September 2016 and transferred the money the very same day and did not receive a single byte of information since then. The lack of information is somehow cumbersome. Could you at least send a mass mail with some information about approximate delivering date for those who paid? Do I have to upload my Kickstart ROM somewhere? Or is the licensing meanwhile included in the price? I would highly appreciate some information. Thank you.
Got my card today, thanks majsta and kipper!
Speaking of lack of information........
Received my "Woohoo Santa Claus is in the neighborhood..." Email on the 7th November 2016, replied 4 hours later (up to now several times) and haven't heard back anything.
Neither an Email back for the payment nor any other reaction on my sent Email(s)....
I understand they are run over with orders and stuff but on the other hand at least an Email as a response or anything else would be helpful here.
Sending out Emails saying a card is reserverd for you after you've ordered this card serveral months ago and then not hearing back a word is more than disappointing....
Ive had exactly the same experience, I doubt that Santa will have a v600 for me :(
Brian has had surgery done to his hand and has to stop for a couple of weeks to let it heal, there are a few threads over at EAB about the same sort of topics discussed here.
http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...1&postcount=20
and here
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=82542
You should read the full threads but the first link shows you Brian's hand after the op.
I send my first e-mail to order my vampire last year, Then in september this year I sent payment, The card arrived today, I know alot of people are upset by the waiting time and the lack of info when you send a email, But I would like to add my voice to the ones that have their card now and can honestly say its well worth it :D
Thank you all to the poeple involved in making this great product
It may be better to use another place to discuss expressions of interests/requests/payments not related to this thread which is about pre-orders on this site only which closed long ago. I'd suggest the new forum at http://forum.apollo-accelerators.com/ or the old forum on http://www.apollo-core.com/knowledge.php?b=0 or the Apollo team IRC channel or one of the threads on EAB, amiga.org or amigaworld.net. You can check your interest/order status using http://orders.apollo-accelerators.com/
Great to know they're arriving in the UK adders :)
Ian, agreed, it probably should be discussed elsewhere.
Hello,
I asked Majsta if itīs possible to buy a Vampire 600. He agreed and told me maybe. I really want one of this and payed. In August we have a short conversation and asked if everything is good, he told me that he hast to build a lot of Cards.
I try to write a PM but thatīs only possible after two Posts. Maybe Majsta can tell me if I have a chance to recieve a Vampire Card, not this year maybe next year I can wait. I read that Cards are more expensive but thatīs Ok for me. Everyday I hope that I recieve a Mail from Majsta but nothing....
Please Majsta can you tell me if you build a Vampire for me, too?
@Misterfloppy
Ye sorry I forgot about few people. I ll try to mail cards in the morning. Check your e-mail please.
Guys,
I am not moaning, but is there any way to see via the Apollo website where you are in the queue?
When I expressed an Interest on the site, I saw that there were around 700 people before me, I just don't know any way of seeing what number of the Vampire Card is currently being dealt with, so therefore, no way of knowing where I am in the grand scheme of things.
As I say, i have patience, so no great hardships - What Kipper2k and Majsta are doing is phenomenal, and a credit to the Amiga scene, like everyone that still uses and follows progress on this project with 25 year old equipment, its an amazing thing, and i have nothing but admiration, i wouldn't even know where to start on a project like this one.
I also hope that Kipper2k's hand heals quickly, and isn't causing too much discomfort, the pictures look nasty... and very painful.. ;)
Thanks all.
Hmm has batch 2 of mass produced Vampire 600s been shipped? I am asking because I just got notification from Finnish customs that I need to clear shipment from the Canada. Now, I am 99% sure it's the Vampire but since I order stuff all over the world all the time, it COULD be something else also I've already forgotten. In any case I need to clear the shipment without seeing it first - it's all electronic nowadays and I do not even know if I can go to the customs and ask to see the parcel anymore like back in the days... So in worst case scenario I will pay USD 70 worth of taxes (!!!) for some cheap spare parts (been there done that, refund process takes months).
If it is indeed Vampire then Brian please, you were supposed to have a small rest! I could've waited for few weeks more.
This has nothing to do with this thread. Wrong place.
You should contact the one who sold you the card.

Ah sorry I mixed up kipper2k and majsta. My apologies!
quick question, hoping someone can help with, i see the price of the vamp is 250 Euro, that's all fine and dandy, does this include VAT or Sales tax of any other nature, and is anything deducted from the price when sending outside of the EU? anything i order from Amigakit or other retailers, to come to Australia, usually has 20% VAT removed
many thanks
EDIT : just found out, its sent from outside the EU. no problems then :)
And I'm still waiting for my card.
@Gunlord I forgot about you, with all mails I receive I misplaced yours somehow. I have send you PM and I ll resolve problem ASAP. I know that you are waiting for too long, sorry.
I have about 5 more V600 left to handle for the people ordered here and on my mail. So not much.
No card
:(
:(
:(
:(
1,5 jears wait
No there's no VAT removed, only added when importing ;-) I paid 250.00€ for V2, 45.00 USD for shipment and 52.50 USD for import taxes since the parcel's content value was declared "honestly", so a total of 358.50 USD for a Vampire II 600.
But I am happy that it arrived today :-D Thank you very much Brian and Majsta :thumbsup2: AMIGA RULES AGAIN :Commodore::rainbow::bounceBoingBall::boing::yourock:
Does OS4.x run on these accelerator cards?
Where can i read about new software written for V II?
Does anybody knows why V II cards for A500 are more expensive than for an A600? I can not imagine how much A1200 V II will be...and finally A4000?
thanks,
-Cook
