Quick question!
Is it safe to use these to terminate the IDE on my A4000's for faster SCSI/FastATA booting?

Should be OK Steve, I would recomend just using a very short 40 pin cable connected to a CF card set as non-bootable which will also give you some extra backup storage if needed
TC ;)
PS - As Andy says I think the Amigakit ones are better value, on the other hand ask zetr0 to modify a 40 pin socket for you, it's only a diode between 2 pins.
Had no idea Amigakit sold such a thing
@TC I did think of that but I'm running out of spare CF's with all these Amiga's
I guess arguably CF's are cheaper than the terminators though ;)
Oh and I need to be careful I don't run out of Favours from Zetr0 :ninja:
I bought a HIS Radeon 9250 and it dosen't work in my A1200 so probably one to avoid.
I tried my 256mb Radeon in AmigaFun's A1200 and it didn't work in his either (he has the Mediator 1200TX) so I guess the card is the problem :(
I'm waiting for my new SATA card to be delivered so will update on that when it arrives. Since I returned the Saphire Radeon to AmigaFun now I'll be sticking with the Voodoo for now

Solved this problem!
The SCSI-IDE bridge is connected to an IDE extension cable:

@ fitzsteve: So, have you got a CF card connected via R\IDSC SCSI-IDE bridge? Would you mind sharing the jumper settings for the bridge? :) I never got the same setup working.
Hi,
The HDD is connected to the SCSI-IDE bridge, I currently have no jumpers set (they were loose and fell off :o) It seems to make no difference lol! I did have ID1 and SCSI2) jumpers set before.
I've used it before with CF cards via Blizzard PPC SCSI so it should work for you but IIRC one CF adapter didn't work so I had to try another.
