Probably it would work.

Most simplest LPT-cable doesn't "need" any parts except wire, or at least I managed to program some 5V XC9572 CPLD's with old PC.

I don't have an USB-based cable yet, but because the newer laptops don't have the LPT port, I've planned to purchase some USB-cable.

I think I'll get the parallel port cable as the pinouts seem to match. Will the software work on an XP machine?

I'm assuming the one I was just sent would be a rev1?

My plan is to solder 1st /int2 and then the 2nd ovr as the distance between the 1st ovr and 1st /int2 is far too close for my soldering skills :-)
