Arrived today. Fitted and working perfectly. Feedback left and many thanks
Hi MKL,
I have received the board and it's working very well; I give you a positive feedback.
Thanks, regards,
TGCA.
PM & Paypal sent for a 8meg memory.
Received, and working.
Thanks.
There might be something with the version "3003" cpld that doesn't work with other amiga mainboards, but tested to be working with the one test a500 mainboard.
New cpld code put to http://mkl211015.altervista.org/ram68k/
The board arrived last week (but I don't have had time to test it).
Positive feedback left.
Thanks!
Hi mkl,
do you have two of your "cool" 402 + 8MB combos for me (for selling)?
I am interested.
Regards, :-)
Hi mkl,
i'll have v402+8mb for an A2000 please, i'll pay as soon as i know costs for normal and express delivery
thanks
Jason
8mb board arrived a few days ago. everything looks in order, i just need to get some time to install this puppy! will try it in a 1000 first to see if it works there. if not, going in a 500. :)
If 8MB board led lights up and Amiga resets, in loop, it is because rev. "3003" cpld code isn't compatible with (most) Amigas.
Reflashing the cpld with newer code should fix this. Required is Xilinx jtag cable and software. LPT jtag is cheap, USB cable cost more.
Adapter Attachment 122526
added to first post.
Can make cpu or cards plugged in the dil-64 socket external on A500.
declaring interest in "1 8MB board 30€" .. will this work in an Amiga 1000 ?
I think it should work in A1000. If it doesn't, there is some problem with the design of the ram board or the cpld code design.
hello do you have any more of this type, fully assembled
http://www.amibay.com/attachment.php...495276&thumb=1
do you think it will fit a CDTV
if so I'm Interested, how much for one and shipping to the UK
I still need to try the 8MB board in my 1000. hopefully in the next couple of weeks than I can confirm if they work in that model.
what is the price of a A500 ide adapter and 8mb board combined? Are there any available?
OK, the good news is that the 8MB board fits in the 1000 fine. I had to put some electrical tape over the jumper so it would not make contact with the expansion bus shielding.
The bad news is that it doesn't work in an A1000. The orange LED lights up, and the Amiga just sits at the white screen. No floppy click or anything. So I suspect the 68K is in the reset loop. I don't have a JTAG programmer so I'll have to pick one up to flash this thing and try to get it working.

Huh, and with the 68K back in the motherboard, my A1000 is dead. Black screen. Doh!
Plugged in an ACA-500+ and it boots. I wonder if my 68K on the motherboard is bad. Maybe I fried it with static when replacing? I was careful and stayed discharged (wrist wire to ground). Hrmmmph.
I'm a little hesitant to try this expansion again -- perhaps I should pick up some spare 68Ks first. OK, ordered 2x 68K CPUs. Will have them next weekend and will try again. Don't want to try on my A500 and risk killing my other Amiga gaming machine.
Thanks matt, for trying this .. and sorry, that your computer seams to be broken now :(
i was having a similar experience when i replaced the 68k with an 68010 .. and the cause for this was a bad contact in the old cpu-socket.. once replaced, its working again.
but your described behaviour makes me wonder whether this expansion will work at all in an A1000.
hmm.. i was so much looking forward to finally have "enough" ram in my machine ...
Did you check for bent pins on the cpu?
@mkl, payment sent .. i just give it a try :) no risk no fun
Ya, I double and triple checked, no bent pins. I'm going to pop the hood on my 500 this afternoon and swap the 68K into my 1000 and see if it's the CPU. If it doesn't work with that CPU, then I must have stressed the socket when trying the RAM board. I was going to ask Acill to recap this 1000 anyway, maybe if I ask nicely he'll replace the socket too. :)
I'll also try the RAM board on my 500. What the heck!

Cool, thanks! PM sent.
Interested in 8meg ram expansion and ide adapter v402 with cf adapter for a500, do I need riser too in between adapters? how much in total with shipping to ukż
@mkl .. any update on my payment? did you receive it?
I tried the problematic CPU in my 500 and it is dead. So somewhere between unplugging it from the memory board and back into my 1000, the CPU received a lethal dose of current. Very puzzling as I was grounded the entire time. Anyway, EdzineG was kind enough to reprogram the memory board, and my replacement CPU has arrived, so I will try again soon -- this time in my 500 instead of my brittle 1000. :)
Payment of 90 euro sent
Payment received and memory board shipped to fook42 earlier this week.
Payment Sent for the 8 meg CPU adapter with CF reader

Cheers
Any update on shipping of my order?
Finally got the 8MB board installed in my 500 and it works great! Thanks to mkl for the world's smallest 8MB Amiga memory board and EdzineG for flash updating my board. :D
I'm a bit confused about the wording on the first page.
I am interested in either an assembled IDE board (no RAM) or the one with the smd stuff soldered and chips programmed. Are there any left of those?
And can I add a CF header for EU5 more to that?
Thanks.
does your ps2 mouse adapter allow use of the free wheel driver ie scroll wheel?
Picked up 8meg ram with cfide297, its seeing the memory but not the ide, did you check it all worked before shipping ? did forgot to program ide cpld?
checked through some photos looks like some wires need to be connected but is not clear where they should be connected
got working added wires pin 9 and 10 near edge connector is int6 just for clock port?
Int6 only connects to clockport pin.
1x v402 ide board plus special cf adapter
2x 8MB ram board
payment sent
thanks for reply also in pm.
installation of ovr & int2 is ok.
it works perfecly.

Attachment 124151
ovr & int2 are ok ?
thanks
Declaring Interest:
1x v402 with CF adapter
1x 8MB board
1x riser socket
The IDE and RAM boards together works great and makes WHDLoad possible. Really slick!
Anyone using the 402 IDE board and the 8MB board together in a 500? When stacked, it's a few mm too tall and the keyboard no longer lays flat in the case. Does the riser board move the stack enough to avoid this? Any suggestions?
BTW, while the 8MB board fits an NTSC 1000, the stacked combination does not. It rubs up against the floppy drive. It needs an offset board like the Kipper2k boards.
Interested in 8meg ram expansion and ide adapter v402 with cf adapter for a500.
Do i need a riser between the adapters?
how much in total with shipping to the netherlnads
I found out that the riser board 'consumes' the headroom it makes, still missing a few mm and touching the keyboard. (A500 case and keyboard, a500+ mainboard)
The riser card might barely work if the ram board were soldered directly to it, saving a socket's height.

So for (standard case) A500, 1000, there is not enough space to fit. I'm going to try with amiga 2000.
During the week i should be getting new ram pcbs that would not need a separator socket.
- - - Updated - - -
It should be possible to build an external combination with the external dip-64 adapter to a500 side connector.
Sent a regular e-mail with interested in one CPU offset adapter, and one IDE68K, as they may be available, USA. e-mail matches my name here.
Thanks.
