Hi!
I got previously (some time ago) sent an installation picture for A1000, but I have not found it since, so if the sender is reading this, please send again.
Hello
payment sent for v425 ide+ 8MB
Thank you
I have two small questions, regarding the combined IDE/8mb adaptor that I bought....
The first question is regarding use of CF card and CF-to-IDE adaptor. What type and combination of card and adaptor is compatible alongside an optical CD-Rom drive, in a Master/Slave setup?
The second question is if I can disable the 8mb ram, if I need to test stuff on my Amiga500?
cf and cdrom? I dont know really, it also has to do with drivers and filesystems. Below 4GB cf shouldn't need extra driver. Cd filesystem? These things should be compatible with A600 setup
To disable ram, check the config in :
If it has pull-up resistor, and is grounded with solder, removing solder bridge disables ram.
Ahhh...
Well. I have had different type of drives running with it, with a CD drive in slave. To use the CD drive, I used the AmiCD or something like that. The kickstart that I use, is kick 2 version 37.350. Regarding CF card, then it is running happily with these 512mb cards, yet for some reason they need a slave drive present. So my question was more or less aimed at what type of IDE compatibility a CF card need. You know, PIO mode and stuff like that.
Regarding Ram. I was just wondering if using a jumper to ground something or using a switch, in order to disable the memory.
Express interest in 8mb RAM board to use alongside TF534 in an A2000
Interested in one ide board without cpu.
Hi there,
I'm interested in two Soldered combination v425 ide+ 8MB for two A500 rev 5s. Email sent as well.
CF card issues... ? I don't know what's causing that with the slave present issue. I have thought CF cards may not "care" about PIO modes, anyway it would be one of the slower ones in 7MHz Amiga. BTW, what kind of cf adapter? is it 3.3 volt or 5 volt?
You could wire a switch between RAM config in and gnd.
Hi - interested in IDE v425i with mc68hc000p10(45€). PM sent.

Interest temporarily withdrawn - awaiting right angle IDE only version so IDE connector can clear my VXL board.
I'm interested in two of the A1000 8MB expansion modules.
Interested in an IDE v425i without the CPU, PM Sent!
A few versions (I have like 5 pcs prototybe pcbs each)
V426-RI : Right angle pin header on the underside, so it would possible to stick a memory card adapter through the side slot of A500.
V427: male 44 pin (2.0mm) header (on top)
V430 : female 44 pin (2.0mm) socket (on top)
V428: Right angle 40 pin header - or 40 pin header soldered to card's edge (therefore right-angle)
v429: Wide pads for 40 pin header - should be possible to use SMT pin headers, straight or right-angle (proto pcb text "426a")
I'll probably change the picture to better one(s) - this shows boards 427-430 from the underside.
Attachment 154191
and V1.22 (122): this has ide connector on other side - might make possible to use without /OVR connection. Maybe also 14 MHz "turbo" for CPU. 5volt xc9572 only.
Attachment 154192

Anyone still making these mem68K boards ?
Hi. I have parts for a few ram68k, and some older boards to "refurbish" (such as to add epoxy glue to hold pin in place)

Hi. Interested in a mem68k with 8mb for an A1000.
Hi. Interested in a mem68k with 8mb for a stock A1000.
PM received and payment sent.
Declaring interest in a v425 ide+ 8MB (low profile for A500) with CPU for €85.00 + UK P&P, when they next become available (assuming that this will work OK with the A500+).
Out of interest, will this work with the following IDE-CF interface from AmigaKit? It would be preferable as it's on a flying lead, and would leave more room for the RF shield.

I've finally found time to open my A1000 and install my combined IDE/Ram board this weekend. Unfortunately my machine does not boot at all (black screen) with the board installed. After trying a few times I was curious if the included MC68HC000 could be the culprit so I tried just the MC68HC000 without the IDE/Ram board and it didn't work either (black screen again). After that I've tried my original cpu with the IDE/Ram board, but unfortunately that didn't change anything. When I revert back to just my original cpu without the board installed the machine runs fine so it seems the board and MC68HC000 are dead. I'm a bit puzzled how that happened since I always wear an ESD wristband when working on hardware.
has mika left the amiga scene? links no longer work for his sites and his email returns as 'does not exist.'
wanted to purchase some more mem68k boards. thanks everyone.

I have only some blank pcb's for ide to sell.
No ram boards. I've run out of the 5 volt 4M x 16 drams. It may be possible to find more - but chinese sellers might deliver fakes (such as 3.3volt chips with 5v chip fake markings)
I have a number of 8M x 16 SDRAM chips, but the circuit board and cpld code would need to be redesigned.
When I have the time, I plan to make archive packages of the ram and ide documents for download.
Hi mkl! I hope you're well
I see there was an older revision that used 3v DRAMs, what was the reason for switching back to 5V RAMs again?
Have thought about this too, guess this will requite adding a clock multiplier too - or am I missing something?Quote:
