Ive finally got my hands on the SX64 :-)
my 64 collection is getting complete now. it seems to be working ok. some keys don't work and the disk drive is filthy inside so i expect that doesn't work either.
the keyboard lead is a DB25 parallel thing thats someone has made / forced to fit but its nothing that can't be sorted :-)

Looks in pretty good condition.
Keyboard issues might be down to that homebrew replacement cable. You might have great difficulty sourcing a loose original to replace it with.
The keyboard is okay now , just needed a clean under the pads. however one spring is missing under key 4 , so i'll pinch one from a lesser used key until i can order one. key keyboard is different to a c64 but kind of similar.
as for the cable it works fine , its just ugly ....if i can't find one. ill make one.
i need to try the disk drive :-0

Mike I've got an old 1541 which you can have if you need it for parts (not sure what's in the SX though). I don't know if it works as it's been in the loft a long time but happy to send to you if it would be useful.

if Mike doesn't want the 1541 I'll take it so I can make real discs on my C64.
My SX-64 is currently in "Bas" Hospital,,, getting a NTSC to PAL conversion (if the monitor will sync to pal) and service....
Would like one for my collection too. :thumbsup:
