ah.... good old server components... nice and reliable stuff, good luck with the sale JuvUK!!!!

I am interested in the scsi card, it's to sexy to resist. I am a little afraid about shipping costs :( It's a pci card ?
-
/Merlin is tempted at the thought of a "dual core" P2 866 Mhz setup, as he has a brace of them in a box.....
I wonder how fast that would go with 768Mb of RAM and a PCI Raid controller?
*ponders*
@ Jurgen
That SCSI card looks like a VESA Local Bus (or possibly ISA) one that would fit the black slot on that motherboard...I don't think that it's a PCI one....
-
If it's not pci not intersted at all, and hey, you can have fun with it, probably it's to expensive to ship such a huge card..
A dual car PIII system is called a core duo more or less, quite sure you'll have some fun with it

@ JuvUK
OK, declaring interest.
Can you get me a price including shipping and I'll sort a payment out for you?
Ta very muchly

I am pretty sure that huge card just has 2 PCI connectors , one might be 64bit too.... does it fit in the last slot of the mobo or is it from a different one?
It is pretty much useless if you don't have the special mobo to use it with...

Just an FYI that SCSI card is bespoke for that Board, the adapter is proprietary as the SCSI card has infact an ATI Rage GL/XL video adapter on it.
Windows drivers shouldn't be hard for you to find merl, however if you were dabbling in *nix it might prove an issue.
That SCSI is U360 - that 360MBytes (not bits like ATA) bandwidth - the U360 also supports SCSI networking and mult-host controll/negotiation

TBH Zetr0, the SCSI adapter isn't going to be used for what I have in mind. I have an ITE 1812 RAID adapter and 4 x 40Gb drives that I can throw on there as a RAID array.
I've also got a brand new 16Mb (whoo!) TNT M64 PCI card that will go just nicely into one of those PCI slots. I can also put my old 12Mb Voodoo 2 card into it for some OpenGL and 3DFX action.
This should make for quite a nice Win XP / Dosbox machine and with two 866Mhz cores should be fairly nippy for P3 kit.
@ JuvUK
Does the board come with a back panel for a PC case?
-
hi all,
ok here goes, these are from a Dell server and were working at time of being pulled (yesterday) they are a pair as in the scsi card won't work without the mobo.
yes the mobo does have the back panel with it.
I've not seen a scsi card like this before with the graphics and network card built in.
carriage via TNT next day is £9.95, if you want it Royal Mail, i'll have to wander to the post office this weekend
cheers, JuvUK
