Sorry Blank, bad news, motherboard is dead as a doornail. Asside from a faulty power socket, it gets a pink screen of death, sometimes green. The green I think mens faulty chip ram, don't know what pink is.
Hope Someone else can help.
Cheers Alc.

"Pink"?
I think you have a purple screen, then. Means bad ROM or badly socketed ROM.
Different colours at boot times usually means only one thing: bad PSU (sometimes bad capacitors).
Replace the power supply for an hacked ATX before replacing anything else. Oh, and reseating the ROM chips will not hurt, also. :)
I've seen a pink screen for a dodgey Floppy drive. ;)

I think the RGB port must be screwed as well then cos it was definately a Bright Luminous Pink , when it wasn't Black, or Dark green, or Flashing Wildly:wooha:. And there was no power to the FDD either.
And ontop of that, my A1200 has decided to have a funny turn. I must be jinxed at the moment.
Funny turn?

Yea, I think it's female and it's about to surf the crimson wave.
Really though I think it is the new accelerator that I bought for it, although the FPU is a 40mhz chip, I think the 030 , which has a heathsink slapped onto it is an overclocked 16mhz, this was a "new" gvp board but has the Power Computing logo emblazened all over it.
With the good weather we're having at the moment after about an hour she starts to lock up. Gonna have to fit some Cooling to my Desktop case.
Would you lot mind taking this discussion to the Service Bay? I'm trying to get hold of a A1200 mainboard here :)
