Warp Engine 040 w/128mb Ram

Hi All,

Sadly I need to raise some money and have to let some of my items go.

This WE040 has been in my A4000 for a few years now and works flawlessly, it's supplied with 128mb Ram. I should have the original manual too but no box. If the buyer would like them I have a 4gb Low Profile Seagate 3.5in SCSI HDD and 50pin cable I can chuck in FOC, I've not tested the SCSI HDD recently but it was working last time I used it which was on my old Fastlane Z3...

Asking price for the WE040 is £550 + P&P

As I want to at least keep my A4000 in some basic form I will accept an A3630 in PX (£50 price reduction) and A3640 (up to £100 reduction depending on revision/recap status)

I'll take some pics if/when I get interest as it means totally disassembling my A4000, many of you have seen this running at events so know it's coming from a good home and in good condition/full working order.

This card is good for 30+ MIPS and SCSI pushing approx 10mb/sec so no slouch, the next best thing you can give your A4000 to an 060 :)

Electronically it should be but I don't know about space as I've never owned an A3000. My version has vertical sim sockets so this might present a problem if space is limited. Unless you get someone to solder angled sockets (if this is possible) You'd need to seek further advice.

The space should be a Problem! Afaik, there was a Special WarpEngine 3040 Version with only 2 SIMM holders...

If the guy with the A3000 puts a shout out some guys might have a cut A3000 tray, try maybe baz that would allow him to use the warp Engine and keep a complete tray as well. the 3000 warp engines are well rare I think closest 3000 compatible card I could find was the GVP T Rex 4040 its low enough to fit under the complete tray. I have my A3000 in bits today to clean her and put extensions on my ECS indi as well.

Good luck with the sale buddy shame to see you selling off most of your Amiga stuff after so much effort to buy it all.

Be care full with cooling though, you might want to leave something open, maybe some bay covers, the A3000D is crammed ...

The WE has a heatsink and fan fitted on the 040 chip (standard MOLEX connector) to assist with cooling.
