G-Rex for A1200

I bought this fine piece of hardware some years ago, but unfortunately It doesn't work with my BPPC :-( you'll need atleast a BPPC Rev2 to get this to work.

You'll also find the manual here (I don't seem to be able to locate mine anyway).

Due to the fact it doesn't work with my BPPC I cannot verify if it still works, but I like to believe so. I've only tried to getting it to work a few times until I read somewhere on the internet that it didn't work with my BPPC.

I'm asking €40 for this.

You probably need a Mediator instead if you don't have an BPPC :-)

haha.. Well I'm semi happy with mine.. it's only @160MHz..
but with the 68060@50... rrRRRrRRRrrRr ;-)

ah, this is a rev2 G-Rex1200 :) it has 2 fully DMA-capable slots, this is the best/fastest pci busboard one can have for his A1200 BPPC setup.... good luck with the sale!!!

Do the rev2 boards have any markings on them that say "rev2" ?
Mine is Phase5 made, so I assume its a rev1, but you never know...

usually DCE boards are rev2 ... I think if you run whichamiga it will state your bppc rev , IIRC

edit: nope, get and run "boardtype" from here: http://powerup.amigaworld.de/index.php?lang=en&page=24

According to what I've read, the only way to know the correct revision is to use a tool called "boardtype", made by DCE.
I'm currently trying to find it.
