For the benefit of our members around the World, could you please explain as to why your offer is Australia only? We seem to be gettign more of this lately and we are struggling to understand why this is so. It means that members outside of Oz miss out on some desirable items.

@Merlin, as Great Sage has said in a few of his other threads its because he doesn't use paypal so requires bank transfer directly in Australia.

Merlin, basically I'm trying to avoid the hassle of setting up a PayPal account or similar and also avoiding the added complications of international shipping and any foreign taxes or levies that I'm not aware of.Quote:

Being honest with myself the large collection of Amiga bits and pieces I have collected over the years is being wasted, unused boxed and sealed in my shed. It's much better I think that I sell them on to people that will get some use out of this equipment. As I'd prefer to sell these pieces of quickly and with a minimum of fuss I decided to try a national only sales. Despite having a smaller market and likely not being able to fetch the prices I might otherwise get I'm willing to make that trade off for the convenience and the knowledge that the buyer can get his gear quickly so the whole deal can be done and dusted within two or three days at most.
Having said all that, if there is no local interest for some of these items I guess I will have to see what is involved giving the bits and pieces new homes abroad. :)

To give first refusal to one groups of members isn't really what this site is about. If you want to sell 'Australia only' then thats you prerogative, but you shouldn't pick and choose based on what sells and what dosen't.

Whats involved in sending overseas is nothing really different to sending inland. The only two differences is that you have to fill out a customs declaration label, then stick it on the package and ask for air mail to wherever. You, as a sender don't pay any customs tax or levy or any other hidden charges. All you have to do is select the gift box on the label.Quote:
