May I use this to connect an Amiga 500 to the OSSC VGA input using a VGA cable? Or it's better to use a DB23-to-SCART cable?
Second question: will this adapter work to connect the A500 to say a Commodore 1960 monitor with a HD-15 plug?

Yes, you can connect to OSSC with it and it will work fine. You will possibly not notice big difference between SCART or VGA connection there. OSSC says SCART input goes thru a filter, and VGA input displays directly.Quote:

With VGA connection OSSC use separate hv sync, but requires good quality signal, as I said I see not much differece, but picture may look slightly sharper. I like I can connect 2 amigas thru OSSC, one by scart other by vga.
Regarding buffered thing, special circuitry in the Amiga video output can mistakenly identify a monitor as a genlock and thus cause problems (constant reboot loop / hang upon start that happens with bb amigas).
And the problem of incorrect identification of the monitor using unbuffered adapters like the one I ordered only happens with big box Amigas, right?Quote:
