VGA to RGB. I have recently purchased a UK Amiga 500, and I would like to hook it up to a VGA monitor.

Not sure which one I would need. Number 3: metal coated case and 23pin conn with C-Sync Switch. Is there any benefit to the cable version other than not needing a VGA cable?
Yes, but make sure you have a 15kHz compatible monitor (as listed on the fist post).
Generaly for small Amigas (500/600/1200) you are ok with unbuffered adapter, for bigbox amigas buffered is needed. Adapter with C-sync switch is only useful for BenQ BL912 or BL702A.
I myself prefer cables for easy connection and as they have 23pin conns and also 23 pin covers they fit perfectly for every amiga. But adapters are handy too :)
Yes I have been reading the first post. Ok then, for now I will go with Number 2: Adapter (metal coated case and 23pin conn with buffered Sync like Commodore VGA Adapter. I would like to get an Amiga 2000 in the future. Will this work with my A500 and also a possible A2000 later?

If cable 6 is "better" and works with both monitors and both Amiga's should I go for those 2 then?

@mister64: All the adapters will work, you do not need buffered. I usualy recommend cables, or mini-adapter for best fit.

Dummy question: How do i distinguish the buffered from the other cable?
I usualy put sticker "buffered h/v sync" to the downside of the amiga connector case.

Here I have using 2 Dell P2314H monitors not realizing they can go down to 15hz.

@powaking: Ok will PM. Yes for A1000 buffered needed. I have found a thread on EAB there is mentioned P2314H as supporting 15kHz so there is a change they will work.

One question, though: Does the Adapter Mini include a c-sync switch? I'm not sure I need c-sync, but seems like a good option to have for max compatibility. (Not sure which monitor I am going to use yet.)
Other info: I am planning to use this adapter with the Kipper2k riser on my CD32.

No, mini does not have a c-sync switch. So far I know only the BenQ BL702A and BL912 that can show picture when composite sync is used.
I also use the adapter with Kipper2k Riser for CD32 & works well.

Adapter received and works great. Does not fit RGB output port on A1200 so good. I had to modify case but that was no problem.
Great it works well. I know about the fitting, those cases are manufactured for 25 size. Mini adapter is the right size for perfect fit, but currently not with sync switch. Hopefully I will make them in the future.

Received the cables and sure enough the Dell P2314H monitor seems to accept the signal from my A1200. Tried a couple of floppies but did not want to push it any more as my A1200 needs to be recapped. Not sure on which screen modes are supported but this will do well for now. Thanks!
