Who wants to buy with me a lot of 192 sockets ?
http://cgi.ebay.fr/Lot-of-192-1-27MM...item2c4e079a4d
:cool:
I'm ready to buy 20pcs from you :thumbsup:
I'd be happy to take a couple dozen of them too :)
I'm ready to buy 20pcs from you too.
I don't have a good news : shipping to France is about 58 USD !
BUT
Free shipping to USA !
So, anyone live in the US ? And ok to send the stuff to Stachu100, Ajk, Adix and me ?
:help:
I can help you out Amigos, but I don't need any sockets, so as long as you cover the costs, I'm fine with shipping out stuff. Do you want to split up the cost and then each get an equal amount? Or maybe one wants a hundred more sockets? ;-)
@da9000
Many thanks for your help! :beer:
I think the best (and the cheapest) way will be to send them to Cosmos and he will distribute sockets between all of us.
Many thanks da9000 ! :thumbsup:
>I think the best (and the cheapest) way will be to send them to Cosmos and he will distribute sockets between all of us
Hum, three travels... :whistle:
Stachu100 : 20pcs
Ajk : 12pcs
Adix : 20pcs
Cosmos : 20pcs
72pcs... Need to find others guys for 192-72 = 120 sockets...
So, who need these sockets again ?
Yes, I'll take 25pcs...
Hi cosmos,
I'll take 40 pcs !
Stachu100 : 20pcs
Ajk : 30pcs
Adix : 20pcs
Cosmos : 25pcs
Bouvelle2000 : 40pcs
135pcs !
57pcs to go...
So let's add 11 pcs to each interested person and go ahead. :)
Otherwise we will not go ahead.
What do you think about it?
Perfectly fine by me :)
It's OK for me too, no prob'!
B2K
:whistle:
Hum... + 11 ? My wallet is not very very ok... :(
Stachu100 : 31pcs (+ 2)
Ajk : 41pcs
Adix : 31pcs
Cosmos : 36pcs :unsure:
Bouvelle2000 : 51pcs
Total : 190pcs
It's 192... So, Stachu100 take the 2 last sockets, héhé :thumbsup:
@da9000
How much exactly for shipping in Priority (without tracking) + bubble letter ? 10 USD is good for each of us ?
Please, check ! (You put the sockets naked in the bubble letter)
First of all, do you guys want me to send to 1 person in Europe and then redistribute? Or send to each one individually? I'm OK with either, my only concern is that I don't "front" the money, since I don't know each one of you and don't want to end up having to play the broken telephone game to try to get it back :-)
Now, for postage costs, to each one of you, go here:
postcalc.usps.gov
Then select your country, then use Google to convert the weight you THINK the package will weigh (I have no idea) based on how many pieces you are getting (for example, type in Google search: 400grams to oz), and then select Package (yes I know, but you need to because each one will be thicker than 3/4 of an inch, but I will still use an envelope), and enter the ounces you get from Google (add 4 to that number to cover the padded envelope and any supporting materials - I'm assuming that I will put the sockets WITHOUT their plastic protective contraptions because they look very bulky - let me know what you think?), and then you have the cost when you look at USPS First Class Parcel International. NOTE, there is a 4lbs (64 oz) limit for this method. Then we go to the below:
If you want tracking and speed (~6 days), I suggest the Flat Rate Envelope USPS Priority Mail which is at around $13, and as much as I can fit :-)
My suggestion is this: each one find how much the pieces will cost them ($50/192 * HOW MANY PIECES YOU WANT). Then add $20 or $30 for Priority Mail (to be sure I have enough for postage - I don't want to be on the negative side). You then send me those amounts via Paypal Gift (if you're not comfortable with Gift, then multiply the total by 1.04 (4%) for Paypal fees. After I get the pieces and ship them off, I will give each back refund of what's left from the $20/$30/whatever.
Or for starters we can just buy the pieces first, so then I can know the weights. Maybe this is the better way to go. So, then, each one sends me $50/192 * HOW MANY PIECES YOU WANT, via Paypal Gift and then we look at the weights and shipping once I have them here.
Let me know if that sounds agreeable or if you have any other suggetsions! :-)
Cheers
PS. What are you guys going to use these on? Maybe I should grab a couple?
>Or send to each one individually
Oh yes : 2 travels instead of 3 !
>convert the weight you THINK the package will weigh
I have one socket here : 6.2 gramms
Stachu100 : 33 * 6.2 = 205 g = 7.23 ounces
Ajk : 41 * 6.2 = 255 g = 8.99 ounces
Adix : 31 * 6.2 = 192 g = 6.77 ounces
Cosmos : 36 * 6.2 = 224 g = 7.9 ounces
Bouvelle2000 : 51 * 6.2 = 316 g = 11.15 ounces
>I will put the sockets WITHOUT their plastic protective
Yes !
>I suggest the Flat Rate Envelope USPS Priority Mail which is at around $13, and as much as I can fit
Perfect ! (maximum weight 4 pounds)
Stachu100 : Poland => 12.78 USD
Ajk : Finland => 12.78 USD
Adix : UK => 12.78 USD
Cosmos : France => 12.78 USD
Bouvelle2000 : France => 12.78 USD
>($50/192 * HOW MANY PIECES YOU WANT)
Stachu100 : (50/192*33) + 12.78 = 22 USD
Ajk : (50/192*41) + 12.78 = 24 USD
Adix : (50/192*31) + 12.78 = 21 USD
Cosmos : (50/192*36) + 12.78 = 23 USD
Bouvelle2000 : (50/192*51) + 12.78 = 27 USD
It's a direct offer : enter 45, I'm sure it will be ok, and keep the 5 USD for you, da9000 :thumbsup:

So, now :
Stachu100 : 38 pcs
Ajk : 48 pcs
Adix : 38 pcs
Cosmos : 44 pcs

@da9000

@Cosmos,
Well done! :)
@da9000

Thanks a lot for your effort!
With:
Stachu100 : 38 pcs
Ajk : 48 pcs
Adix : 38 pcs
Cosmos : 44 pcs
Bouvelle2000 : 58 pcs
It gives:
Stachu100 : ( 50/192*38 ) + 12.78 = 23 USD
Ajk : ( 50/192*48 ) + 12.78 = 26 USD
Adix : ( 50/192*38 ) + 12.78 = 22 USD
Cosmos : ( 50/192*44) + 12.78 = 25 USD
Bouvelle2000 : ( 50/192*58 ) + 12.78 = 28 USD
No !!
Stachu100 : (50/192*33) + 12.78 = 22 USD
Ajk : (50/192*41) + 12.78 = 24 USD
Adix : (50/192*31) + 12.78 = 21 USD
Cosmos : (50/192*36) + 12.78 = 23 USD
Bouvelle2000 : (50/192*51) + 12.78 = 27 USD
Stachu100 : (50/192*38 ) + 12.78 = 22 USD
Ajk : (50/192*48 ) + 12.78 = 24 USD
Adix : (50/192*38 ) + 12.78 = 21 USD
Cosmos : (50/192*44) + 12.78 = 23 USD
Bouvelle2000 : (50/192*58 ) + 12.78 = 27 USD
Because 192 = 226 = same price now !
Hey US guys, I like so much your equation ! héhé ! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
OK, I've sent emails to everyone so far. When I get the payments I'll buy the sockets and we'll go from there.
Cheers!
I have sent the $24 now.
Payment sent to @da9000. :)
Payment sent :cool:
@cosmos.
Sorry for the mistake, sometime, I'm a real jackass...:roll:
Payment sent to da9000 !
:thumbsup:
One more to go!
@bouvelle2000:
You sir, are not a jackass! (well, as far as we know) You want to use that word only when you do something inconsiderate or knowingly bad. Mixing up the numbers is not bad/inconsiderate, nor stupid really. You were probably distracted or careless when reading Cosmos' post...
@da9000
Yes, I admit I was a little too severe with myself! :shrug:
Indeed ;-)
Anyone want to buzz Adix? Waiting on him and then I'm placing the order.
UPDATE:
I have great news everyone! Payment received by Adix, and I used my mad skillz to get the sockets for $30 instead of $50! Woohoo! :-) So expect to be getting refunds after shipping's done!
BTW, would it be OK with you guys if I grab 10 sockets? (2 from each person, $0.26 worth) I have a few A1200 cards myself...
Cheers
Tony
>get the sockets for $30 instead of $50!
:yourock:
Excellent news, and go a head and keep a few of them as far as I'm concerned at least :)
Congratulation for the final price da9000! :thumbsup:
No problem if you keep a few of them...
B2K
Great job da9000! :thumbsup:
From my side no problem as well, you deserve it!
Stan
Ok too !
Good news, Many Thanks great job.
Thanks guys!
Just to update you: I've paid and the sockets have been shipped, so I'm just waiting for the post-man :-)
Cheers
:thumbsup:
That's good news, thanks!
Hey guys, good news. :D The package arrived :thumbsup: and I'm almost done with the preparations for shipping. Check'em out, 226 freagging sockets! :wooha:

Now I'm gonna put those boxes (extra protection) within the folders and they'll be ready.
@da9000,
I very like such mornings. :)
Thanks!
Another good morning coming :-)
Update:
I shipped off two of the packages (Cosmos and Stachu). Check your emails for delivery confirmation/tracking links. You should have them within the week.
I didn't get around to B2K's yet, but will do soon.
There's a small issue with Adix's (for some reason there's no address associated with the payment - I'll send him a PM).
And holding on to AJK's for now as I'm going to send him some other stuff too.
For all but Stachu the package is marked as gift and the worth $5, in case you're asked at the post office :-)
Cheers fellahs!
is it to late to get in on this?
I would like 10 unit - can sort out funds on Wednesday =)
Hey guys, another update:
Bouvelle's sockets shipped out Monday and Adix's yesterday. :thumbsup: Y'all should have them within a week. :)
@Zetr0:
I've already finished with purchases and such and shipped off all but one set (AJK's). I figure Adix is the one closest to you (UK), so you might want to hit'im up in about a week when his arrive :-)
Cheers!
SIMM sockets received, feedback left. :)
Thanks again @da9000!
Great cooperation over a month :thumbsup:
Yes, together, we are stronger !
:thumbsup:
Simm sockets received yesterday, as well!
Thank you da9000 and the others for this international successful operation!
B2K
:thumbsup:
Hey guys, sorry I haven't been here in a while to check progress, but glad to see some of them have arrived!
@stachu100:
You're welcome and thanks for leaving feedback!
@Almaniac:
Yeah, it took a bit to get things worked out with the seller and then to wait for them, and then me splitting them up and shipping in proper packaging, etc, etc. but all worked out great in the end! More Amiga projects getting closer to completion now! :-)
@Cosmos:
Ce vrais! (I assume your thumbs up means you've received them - too lazy to check the tracking links right now)
@bouvelle2000
Merci mon ami!
Now we just need to hear from Adix to see if his have arrived, and I still need to send AJK's (we were shopping for other stuff).
Cheers
Manty thanks, :D
