CPU:s, CPU:s and more CPU:s

Last summer I bought a large lot of mostly ceramic CPU:s with the intent to extract the gold and refine it. It was 82 kilos of CPU:s and spans from 80186 up until Pentium MMX. Or 68000 up to 68040 era for you who like those CPU:s.

I soon realized that there were a few rare ones and there were quite an interest from people that run older systems so I spent a week just wiping thermal grease and sorting all the CPU:s. Some have already been sold via eBay and the CPU-world forum but there are quite a few left in my inventory.

This spread sheet will be updated as I sell or add new CPU:s but there could be errors in descriptions and inventory. I'll do my best to keep it up to date and correct.

Rows with 0 in pieces left have all been sold out. I keep them as a reference for myself.

I think the easiest way to adapt to the rules about giving notice in the thread about interest is if you also include what CPU:s you are interested in. Most models I have several of.

Shipping is from Sweden, $4 for ordinary letter up to 100g, $14 for registered letter (insured and tracking). For bigger lots I will quote the postage depending on the weight.

I'm interested in your SX546 (as many as I can afford), your 2 K5-PR166 and if they're not gone on ebay the 80502200s you have left.
As I understood you can accept less "interesting" 486s as part of an exchange for those I'd want ?
If that is the case, I'll check this evening what I have in excess that would help me afford the DX50s.
Meanwhile, can you confirm that the CPUs afformentionned have all their pins, and what visual state they are in ?
(or if it's not too much to ask, take pictures of them upside and downside ?)

Column H contains the prices. For a description of the columns, look at row 5.
I recommend to look at the spreadsheet in split mode so you always have the headers handy.

Is there any specific object you are thinking of?

When I'm doing an inventory in my storage I only add the relevant numbers of what and how much, leaving research and putting prices to when I'm at home and have some time free. Not every day that happens... :smile:

I checked what CPUs I have left, and actually I don't have much. I really wonder what I did with all my stocks.
Basically 3 DX2s are all I could shed, and that would amount for just one DX50. So I won't take the 8 DX50s :(
So I would like to take the 3 most recent DX50 and the oldest DX50.
What would be the total cost with shipping to France ?

Four SX546 is 4x9 = $36

Shipping for four 486 is $7 as ordinary post or $14 as registered (insured and tracking) letter. You could add 2-3 more CPU:s without adding to the postage.

Total cost depending on postage is $43 or $50, paypal to axelsson@acc.umu.se or bank transfer via IBAN/BIC if you would prefer that.

IBM 486SLC2 upgrade smaller is correct, top and bottom side. Don't know if it really is a "IBM 486SLC2 upgrade" but I used that name the night I went through the box. I might have seen something while googling to find out anything.

But you have seen it, and that is really all I know about it.

- OK maybe im confusing because of that empty socket beside the CPU (that isnt fit to a 286 PLCC socket, as i think before, so what is it for? Maybe missing support chip?)

My guess it's a socket for a small math processor. It's 80 pins and there is no traces of anything have been sitting in it. The socket is complete and when you open it you take the top off and that's still there.

I have to pass on the 486SLC upgrades i have stated interest in, because they all seem to be PGA type. I need only PLCC clip-on upgrade.

Indeed the PLCC empty sockets are for the FPU.

I'n not so sure about this... the reason I need it is for the IBM machine that I have. It may have other functions... but I doubt it as proprietary parts generally only works with their respective OEM hardware.
