Amiga 600 motherboard pref with caps done

Hi guys, i recently bought some caps off Cosmos and attempted to replace the ones on my A600 but my soldering iron died half way through the operation and i was forced to continue with a much fatter one.

Suffice to say i wound up accidentily melting through a couple of the data channels on the board when trying to remove the first few caps:(... the amiga didnt make it and i wont be trying again after that experience. It was so... :wooha:

R.I.P my wonderful machine...

I am therefore looking for anymore A600 motherboards which are in working condition, preferably with the caps already done :P so i can forget all this repair stuff and just bung the board in. I've spent far too much already collecting bits. I still have the 2 full sets of caps, untouched which are for a Rev. 5 A600 motherboard and would be willing to part ex them toward a board that had already been done for me.

If anyone can help please let me know.

Oh and i should add, im in the UK and looking for a UK spec board.

Only advice I can give is: don't bin the old board, it can be salvaged for a skilled guy in some place of the world.

After receiving the new board put your old one for sale.

Hi Amineo, i have a rev1.5 a600 motherboard.
I've never replaced the caps (not within my skill level) but everything works fine.
It has the white keyboard clip and a 2.04 (37.175) rom.
If your interested i could let it go for £10 plus p&p.

Unusual ROM for an A600 but i have spares so no worries about that. If its definately an A600 board consider it sold :)
