What make/model drive is your DF1? Maybe that's an adapter to use a bog standard PC drive in an Amiga?
Does your floppy drive reads / wrights HD floppy's?
I used to have a similar device but this looks more complex, mine allowed to use a standard PC hd floppy as 880k Amiga drive without modifications.
Both drive are amiga drives I was thinking it's some kind of copy protection remover or was a noclick but both drive's still click..
Also if you look someone scraped the numbers off the 2 IC's...

Maybe just a simple DF1 terminator ?
Or DF0/DF1 switch ?
Can't tell from the pics, maybe you could take lager ones and more clear.
I would hazzard a guess and say that these are for specific PC drives - so that they can be used in the Amiga.
Could you take pictures of your floppy drives?
I'll pull the case off tonight still only have my cel for the pics..
